i think now in bjp there will be a great thinking required as bjp is no where in government forming so again for next five years bjp has to sit in opposition
But this is a wake up call for bjp as its a major state which affect central government too
"forget about position in party and work as a karyakarta it will only help BJP to come out of it"

Victory of equality
by Anuruddha Chabukswar on May 11, 2007 01:06 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

UP elections is the sign of victory of Democracy of India. It is the victory of Dreams of Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar to bring the social equality in india.India is ruled by the upper caste people for more than thousands of years. All the benefits of power has been utilised by upper caste people. Now when Behan Mayavati is getting the victory in UP it reflects the out come of the struggle by BSP to acheive the dreams of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.I am of the opinion that Bahenji will be the most powerful and efficient CM.The so called efficient people could not bring the developments in the state and country inspite of getting chances over last 50 years. So now they should not blame BSP and should watch the development of the state in next five years.
Jaibhim.

Mr. Professor , you are speaking a dirty language , you should speak like a proff.Remeber one thing, when Behanji was moving only with Dalit& lower cast vote bank , she could not succed. This is the first time she had gone with the uppar cast people. So it is very clear that untill & unless you are not moving with all the community, cast & relegion you canget the power. This she has realease very well . So, Mr Proff , once again , please do not talk all this non sense, you are people , who creats this " Gundh" in our socity.

I am aghast that an assistant professor is speaking languare of an illitrate gullible rural person. Dear Asst. Prof. please remember caste and religion for Politicians is just a stepping stone to power, once in power everything is forgotten.
Be it Mayawati or Vajpayee or any other politician, no one has kept any promise regarding betterment or upliftment of any particular caste.
I wonder with a narrow mind set like yours what will you teach to students in colleges !!

Do not talk caste crap in here Mister. This is not the first time your Behenji is coming to power. They were given a chance previously also and we all know how big time they messed it up by playing with the CM chair like a musical chair.Politics do not have caste ol' man .Wake up.There is only one caste or color and that is the color of currency.

BSP Win
by on May 11, 2007 12:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Though my first choice for Uttar pradesh was congress, at least they(rahul) talk about development and not Relegion, caste etc, earlier i used to support BJP but now am sure it cant go beyond mandir masjid, and shown it's character again with CD case
Though Mayawati has been castiest, it's a good sign BSP winning in uttar pradesh,(She is much better than Mulayam)at least she will do something for UP.during her last tenure uttar pradesh was all set to get an international airport near agra ( she made centre to approve the same), plans were ready and centre approved the same, but with Mulayam coming to power, the plan was scrapped, he has done nothing for developing only encouraged Gundas and mafias.
Hope UP will develop and regain it's lost glory under Mayawati's tenure.

hardly any choice
by brahman on May 11, 2007 12:49 PM  Permalink

unfortunately, in India, in any state, there are hardly any choice for the voters.... either peter or paul.. and these peter-paul take the advantage of the situation to loot the country and its people..

for all said and done, the new government and its CM will focus their mind to harass and trouble the earlier CH to take out the vendetta, instead of concentrating on the development of the state..this is the sad state of affairs everywhere... congress will provide outside support to be in good books of BSP.. the only one party who may be left alone would be BJP whose ideology is very difficult for the dalits to digest..

It is a child's play for mesmarising the Dalits with the cast/creed sentiments and get their votes ...

Mayawati - change your attitude - don't try to loot the country, try to do something better for the common people thus washing your earlier sins - you have another opportunity now.
