No connection

Mani Shankar is a fool. He always try to prove that he is loyal to Sonia Gandhi. There is no connection between Gandhiji & 1857 freedom movement. Asking youths to be non violent if somebody is violent against you is foolish,

I agree with you, Mr Bhshan. I fail to understand how Gandhi came for 1857 war of independence!

Congressi have distorted history. They tried at their level best to make us forget the role of 1857, Revolutionaries like Khudiram bose, Chafekar brothers, Azad, Bose and coutless other in our freedom strugle and userp not only the credit but other benifits of freedom.

If I recall correctly the same Ayyer removed the plate of Savarker from Cellular Jail. Sawarker was the first historial who proved that 1857 was our First effort for independence.

We shud not expect any thing betterfrom person like Ayyer and other sycophants of Sonia

1857 was lost kings last attempt to win there kindgdoms
by Vijay Kurhade on May 07, 2007 10:38 AM  Permalink

So called 1857 mutiny was a desperate and last attempt of lost kings to win there kindgdoms, it was not at all supported by common man.

Where as Gandhi, Tilak, Bose, Savarkar, Azad spelled FREEDOM woke every fellow indian and pitted them against British was Freedom Movement.

Dont call 1857 freedom movement and insult those great martyrs who gave there lives and got india free status in 1947.

The first war for freedom was faught by the dravidians against the invading aryan army. So the only legacy of that brave movement is Periyar. We should project Periyar as the legacy of the first freedom movement in India.

Kaum ko kabilon me mat banto
Safar ko meelon me mat banto
behta hua daria hai mera bharat
ise nahron aur nalon me mat banto

Mr. Varun casteism is bane to this country. It is decreasing day by day...& the day is not far when we will totally eliminate it.

Just because she gave tickets to your brahmin brothers she has become "Godess" to you. Anyways I know she will keep the upper castes under control so I do not have anything against her. She is not the best but I prefer her over the upper castes.

Here is a question: What if Sepoy Mutiny were Successful!
by Minu Mukherjee on May 07, 2007 10:20 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Here is a question: What if Sepoy Mutiny were Successful!

Please think over it and Answer.

1. Mughal Empire would have been back.

2. British Empire would not have been so big.

The history of the world would have changed, if Mughal Empire were back at Delhi because of Sepony Mutiny!

Well Bhaskar,
It was only due to traitors like you that we had to live in British rule for so long. The mood for popular democracy was set in 1857. India would have started to function as a democracy after 1857 had it not been for some who came from the ideology of hate and who ditched the country then and who are ditching the country now.
