What about the atrocities on Muslims by Narender modi govt after Godhra?
What about blasts at Malegaon? What about demolition of Babri Masjid? I think that was the loswest point in our history, done with the sole intention to capture power. Why dosent BJP have development issue, whenever there is an election, BJP will talk the 'hate muslim' lines (release of CD in UP). Dosent BJP have any other plank to fight an election.
Are the leaders of BJP incapable of generating a political issue to fight election.?
I think guys in this forum are losing focus and making ita Hindu Muslim issue.
This is not ahIndu Muslim issue, niether it is a Congress vs BJP issue.
It is an issue of conspircay by politicians and rampant abuse of policeman by the political leaders.
It has been happenning since ages, irrespective of the Govt being led a Congress or the BJP or the SP/DMK/AIDMK
It is a case where the incumbemt CM foreseeing an election ordered his police force to carry out a fake encounter, project the victin as Muslim terrorist, gain Hindu sympathy, and win the election.
The CM has assumed that the police officers investigating the case would delay the probe and dilute the case.
But infortunately DIG RAI investogating the case did just the opposite.
So immediately CM sprung into action. Asked one OP mathur to take over the case from RAI and then subsequently transferred Rai out of the probe. CAn we ever know what necessitated the said transfers? Why was it required to transfer police officials when they wer doing the job they were meant to do?
Guys we have lost one more oppurtunity to nail the corrupt political class. May be this case would have set a precedent and a deterrent to existing political leader police nexus.
Let us not fight on BJ P - Congress SP lines or be that matter HIndu muslim christian line. Let us fight against the corruption previaling in our society. We have one such case happenning at Nandigram in WB. Let us voice our opinion on Nandigram as well.

Afzal should be hanged. And theres no point in delaying the decision of clemency. Terrorism/state sponsored terrorism of any kind should not be tolerated, whatever be the cost of achieving the said.

Though i agree with you there is a practical problem. How do you punish somebody posthumously?

No doubt the time has come to support for BJP as in todays soft rule of congress supported by Communist , 1000 of jehadis are crosiing loc in J&K. 1000 of minorities from bangladesh r infilterating in india. Sharabudding was praised as hero....In India TV rajat Sharma has shown his funeral video ,where 1000 of people gathered in jirania village ( indore) , sloganing for jehad,anti India ,firing with rifle, Bhai ka badla le ke rahenge, Rajat has criticized the fake encounter but also declared him as terrorist.
assuming the proven extortionist sohrabuddin allowed to continue with his activities instead of getting killed, will he be garlanded as a freedom fighter by the congress?? hoo knows, may be he could have been used as a candidate for the UP election either by the congress or the SP.
Gujarat police did right with criminals. Otherwise you and your dear ones would be victims of there crime. Do not punish to police-mans otherwise criminals will have no fear.
Anyway, my 2p on the article: I can empathise partially at least with the policemen. Considreing how our judiciary works, it can be frustrating if criminals can walk the streets with impunity. I mean, so many of them are ministers! But on the other hand, can we really subvert the law?
We should stop looking at the whole incident from the prism of Hindu/Muslim relations. The police took the laws into their own hands, and killed a man who, by all accounts, seems to have been rather a lowlife. The only place where his religion plays a role of any importance is how he was classified a terrorist; this I believe was made possible because he was a Muslim.
But the same thing would have been done to a Hindu extortionist under the same circumstances. Okay, he may not have been called a terrorist, but the police would have thought of something else - or never mentioned it at all.
Case in point: Anybody remember the Rajan murder case in Kerala from the days of Emergency? I guess Mallus on these forums would remember. This engineering student was picked upf rom his hostel room, branded a naxalite, and his body has never been found. The man behind it all - a Congress home minister named Karunakaran - still lives happily on (unless I haven't heard the good news yet).

Is a scoundral, simply put. Who are these odd fellows to hijack hinduism? Majority of hindus in India hate both BJP and CONGRESS, barring the upper castes. Modi seems to be a man with no integrity what so ever. If the charges are proven, I pray that these IPS officers are HUNG until death. Thus send an example that police are not given a license to kill.
