Indian democracy becoming a Fruit Salad albeit made of rotten fruits. With this multi-party system with completely different ideologies (Only common aspect is their greed for power and Money)
EC power gives me confidence in Indian system. Hopefully, Mulayam is not right about EC (acting as Congress agent). If all goes well and we see that elections in UP were fair at the end. We will become a better Nation and it will bring down the Gunda's power.
Also, might be good idea to have 1 state at a time election or number of states EC can manage at a time for future all elections.
I also support the move taken by EC in the state of UP. But still it is a distant dream to see a mafia/goonda free UP as no party in the state is serious to eliminate the mafia raj.
Such steps are necessary atleast to start with and clean the election process at public-politician interface.
