muslims must vote for BSP
by myyou on Mar 29, 2007 11:41 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

dalits for all these decades has been fighting for the rights of other weaker/minority like obc's, muslims, christians sections of society. but never dalits get support from these clasees, babasaheb mentioned it 50 yrs back. streneous efforts of kanshiram and other dalit activists awakened dalits to fight for their dignity and rights. since 1990 BSP has been struggling for muslim votes, but ony a few have been voting, even then dalits all over india rallying behind muslims whenever they are attacked. it is high time for muslims to vote in favour of BSP in the larger interest of country and to pacify dalits, otherwise awakened dalits donot work for, with, muslims. which encourages anti-muslims and are going to be suffered a lot in the hands of communalists.

Voting to Independents will only things difficult due to extreme voting patterns where each individual comes up with his/her own ideology leading to a chaos. The independents moreover are not linked to any larger grouping as such and that leads to irresponsibility to larger interests of the state and that's factionalism. It's always good to have people vote for individuals who stick to parties that have interests of the state(or a sub domain of it that needs separation) and nation in mind. That is how a Union can survive.

Kattarpanthi does not translate into rabid communalist
by syed rahman on Mar 29, 2007 11:01 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I fear the author does not really know Hindi. He translates Kattarpanthi as rabid communalist. The word simply means fundamentalist.

The other big mistake he and every other commentator seems to be making is the habit of generalising Muslims. The truth is Muslims on the ground are as or more divided as Hindus among all political parties including SP, BSP, Congress, BJP to an extent and now all the new mushrooming community based political organizations. I don't gives these community parties a chance as Muslims dont have a history of voting for their community organizations.

You can never write off Samajwadi Party.

You better write for Congress Magzines
by Anurag Saxena on Mar 29, 2007 10:54 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear Writer,
Sitting in a AC room and watching different news channels does not mean that You can analysis Uttar Pradesh election very well. Either you write this article as a paid article from congress or you are a sessional writer.

In uttar pradesh anti-incumbency factor is true but it is directed toward Congress is not true. Congress can never manage to get more than 20-30seats. It is not a political statement but the fact is based on the Candidate list declared by Congress Rahul BABA. No leader from state is either intreseted or able to contest the election from Uttar Pradesh.

Congress was in power from last 30 years, What the muslim get nothing, Who allowed to opent the gate of Ayodhya it Was Rahul 's late father Shri Rajv Gandhi. How congress says they are not seculars when in 1984 after mrs gandhi death what Sikhs felt they knows better.

Where was sonia ji and rahul ji when Demoliation of Babri Masjid was taken place.

So show the correct picture of India to all indian
Thanks

Nazarwala - No Nazar at all.......
by Sanjay Reddy on Mar 29, 2007 10:22 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Nazarwala is exhorting muslims to vote for Congress on one side [even though he knows that they wont really get anything in return] and on the other side he says SP is down to spot 3. I sincerely request all muslims to vote for Congress and SP so that they can be taken for a ride yet again for another 5 years. MUSLIMS PLEASEEEE VOTE FOR INCONSEQUENTIAL CONGRESS. Atleast the muslims have been marginally better under the SP. Amitabh Bacchan doesnt flock to SP because he dislikes the Congress but the so called first family has backstabbed him thoroughly while SP has atleast come to his rescue [So why should he even spare a thought for the Congress - After all a freiend in need is a friend indeed]. Similarly Congress lost the muslims in UP because it continuously backstabbed them since Independence after taking their votes. NO WONDER ALL MUSLIMS IN INDIA ARE SUCKERS - they cant raise themselves into the mainstream. MUSLIMS - PLEASE GET INTO THE NATIONAL MAINSTREAM AND VOTE FOR THE BEST POSSIBLE CANDIDATE IN YOUR CONSTITUENCY EVEN IF HE IS A BJP CANDIDATE.

UP Election
by Hariharan shankaran on Mar 29, 2007 10:17 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

One Congress Leader has predicted hung Assembly in UP. Then is not a futile exercise in conducting the election and all dramas for proving majority followed by president rule. The Party who also contribute to the hung assembly situation should withdraw from contesting so that the votes are not split.
