this guy is sick. just ignore.
Mayawati must be congratulated for taking a bold step in including Brahmins(who were often criticised unfairly) in her pursuit for power. The Brahmin bashing had been a fashion for almost all politicians and political parties because they knew that Brahmins will not protest. Each generation had its own special problems. So blaming brahmins "for 100 years of oppression" or "1000 years of oppression" or "5000 years of oppression" had been a fashion for many people. You can state any number and get away with it. In free India any body can opt for Sanskrit, Astrology etc. But how many people who shout on roof tops that Brahmins denied opportunities for the pursuit of knowledge for 1000s of years have oped for it? Not many because they dont want to learn those subjects instead they will learn some thing which would provide them livelihood. That is what probably each generation did. But blaming brahmins will erase every wasted opportunity for them.

targeting some one for political gains is the biggest achievemtnt of some poltiical parties,, no one can imprison any one if some one isstrong, indian never coerce on anyone any relgion or authortative rule,,india is always free,, buddhism is relgion of not caste, not god, why not all dalit join them,,,life is free , live like king,, depends upon you,, beyond 10 k m aways from your village no one ask your caste,, it is physique of body, education and your compentacy show the strength of fighting with systems,,,
Instead of shouting your individual perceptions as History, try to answer these questions with honesty.
1. If a particular cast is in power, does majority of people from that cast are benifited ? (Not asking about close circle of people who are directly benifited). If you think yes, analyze history of independent India.
2. When you earn revenues and pay taxes, do you do it as an individual (maybe couple) OR as a particular cast ? Then what is meant by benifits for a cast ?
3. Can you prove without exceptions that Brahmin/Kshatriya/Vaishya/Others did fight OR did not fight against Mugals OR British ?
4. If you cannot eliminate cast (even after changing religion), how about accepting it in it's original form ? I'm an IT consultant that makes me 'Others' and my brother in army becomes a Kshtriya irrespective of cast of our parents. The difference here is no one cast is superior to other. Also, it's dynamic based upon what I DO and not what others do.
5. Do you understand CAST as in Classification ? How many classifications you know based on Race, Region, Religion, Sex, Birth, Abilities, Skills ...etc ? Do You think taking care of one will eliminiate the problem ?
A Society that can take advantage of diverse skills of individuals becomes super power. Others are called Third World countries lacking pure drinking water & air BUT fighting internaly based on classes.

cant we alltogether scrap the categorisation itself in all forms and ways. the divide then will cease to exist. for example:dont fill up the caste column at all when u are admitting ur child in the school...by the time the child grows up to be a thinking human being he/she'll understand why you did so. the caste column in the form will loose its relevance and then will be scrapped from the admission form. let us all evolve this new thought.

In full agreement. Those who do not want to indicate any creed or caste on forms should be permitted to write 'indian' in those places. They could be treated as FC for reservation for govt educ and govt jobs. Caste/creed reservations must be abolished for fully paid or scholarship-based private school/college education or private jobs. Those who are well off should avoid going for jobs in govt or in private firms, should instead try starting their own companies that will give jobs to a few others also.

Even I am of the same principle. My suggestion is that there should not be a column for caste at all.Even in one's name if somebody does not want to put surname(Then caste will be revealed)let them not do it.Your name and mother's/father's name mare than enough. But Govt.does not accept forms when surnames and caste are not put.
While the dalits who were at the bottom of earlier castocracy and brahmins who are now at the bottom of the post-periar inverted castocracy, both of them know what it is to be illtreated, no wonder if they come together now, when given a chance by BSP.
But, there is also probably a deeper reason. Whem islam attacked and subjugated India, the kshatriyas, as per caste-dharma, fought and died; the vysyas ran off from the villages with their gold and jewels and came back later. Sudras simply took wage-work under the new moslem masters, but retained their lands, hindu gods and temples. The pre-moghul dalits were forced to convert to islam. But the brahmins did nothing, just waited to be killed; even moslems found it difficult to handle such passive resistance; they simply forced the learned brahmins into ghettos called agrahaarams [garlands] around temples and the others out of the villages as the new dalits. This explains why the dalits retained god-related names like jag-jeevan-ram, khansi-ram, krishna-swamy etc. to this century, while the OBCs went for modern names. Perhaps, this made Gandhiji call the dalits as harijans, Dr. Ambetkar marry a brahmin. In fact, the caste system which seems to have saved hindustan alone from being wiped off their old religion, unlike in persia, indonesia etc., may also now help save the country from selfcentred political parties of crminal greedy politicians, riding mainly on minority antinational votebanks.
Most confused, most idiotic & downright dishonest analysis with a mix of facts & lies!
When Mughals conquered India, the kshatriya did not fight! They rather sent their sisters & daughters to Sultan's beds to establish relations with them! Only two honorable exceptions, Rana Pratap & Shivaji! And both had their armies full with dalit / adivasi warriors! They fought the wars!
Brahmins were not passive, they prayed for the new Sultans & served in their courts!
Mayawati knows that the frustrated Brahmin has nowhere to go & he has no option but to join hands with Mayawati for his political survival!
Ambedkar didnot marry a Brahmin woman, he married a CKP woman. CKPs are considered lower castes by Brahmins & they were tortured by Brahmins during British period! Read Prabodhankar Thakare's book on that. Tell such lies that can be accepted.
Finally caste system did not save Hinduism, it converted Hinduism into a garbage dump. Now Dalits have discovered that caste is a powerful time tested weapon & they want to use it against their perpetrators. They sould use it. Afterall caste is more durable than Hinduism & its great philosophy!

Hi Prabhanjan Butshikan,Before criticizing seshadri you first put the facts here, don hide..
1."When Mughals conquered India, the kshatriya did not fight! They rather sent their sisters & daughters to Sultan's beds to establish relations with them! Only two honorable exceptions, Rana Pratap & Shivaji! And both had their armies full with dalit / adivasi warriors! They fought the wars!
Brahmins were not passive, they prayed for the new Sultans & served in their courts!",
What about the Great Peshwa rulers,Peshwa Baaji Rao undisputed Maratha king, mightier than all the maratha rulers...think hes a Brahmin what do you think?please think before writing... 2."Mayawati knows that the frustrated Brahmin has nowhere to go & he has no option but to join hands with Mayawati for his political survival!"
Mayawati herself Joined hands with Brahmins to gain majority in the state, good to see the Dalit-Brahmin thesis...

" What about the Great Peshwa rulers,Peshwa Baaji Rao undisputed Maratha king, mightier than all the maratha rulers...think hes a Brahmin what do you think?" This is absolutely true! Infact it was only the Brahmin Rulers from Maharashtra who could recapture the land upto Attock and Khyber Pass. All the so called Kshatriyas and other warrior classes from North India could not even come anywhere close to this feat! Don't just criticise Brahmins for whatever comes to mind! This universe moves in circle whatever goes up comes down and whatever is down goes up! One has to remember this!
In Maharashtra the Kshatreeya Maratha caste has played intelligent politics for the
last 50 years by venting out all the peoples anger on the absulute minority
Maharashtrian Brahmins, who are less than 2 1/2 % or 2.5 % of the population.
The Brahmins are nowhere in government , in politics or in judiciary in Maharashtra,
and the Marathas by making the Brahmins scapegoats have establisished their own absulute hegemony on the Politics, Police, Admistration, Government, Judiciary, Coperative sector, cash crop farming and water resources.
Now the Marathas which is the primary support base both for the Sharad Pawars NCP and Bal Thakreys Shiv Sena, feels that a new class of OBC and Dalit leadership is not falling for the "Brahmins are ur foe" theory
and they seem to be getting that its the Marathas themselves who have manupulated the political
landscape to keep their own hegamony.
Hope is that the caste Maratha domination of Maharashtra will end and so will its fuedal and hegamonstic politics.

No one can defeat Marathas. Marathas are getting jobs becuase of their ability. Marathas are Great. Shri Shivaji Maharaj had several dalits, brahmin in his administration. He never differentiated people by caste.

Mayawati's welcome by a Punekar Brahmin is a good sign, but the logic behind it is incorrect, it is pervert & loaded with lies.
Politics is a moving train phenomenon. When the train stops at a station, the insiders lock the door & donot allow others to get in. Some passengers get in through windows. On next station they all pool together & prevent entry of others to the compartment!
Brahmins tatsed power for years & did not allow others a share. Tilak said why do the Marathas need to come to the Councils? Will they till land there? We are there & will take care of the concerns!
Marathas boarded the political train & removed the followers of Tilak from politics. But the Brahmins stuck to their empires like Administration, Judiciary & Corporates mostly by employing crooked means.
On the next station, the OBCs wanted to get in but the Marathas did their best to oppose them! These OBSc shifted to BJP & Shiv Sena (Both have mostly OBC leaders & OBC votes) and removed the Marathas from power!
On the next station, the Dalits are waiting to get into the train. OBCs are trying their best to oppose (read Mulayam & Yadavs). But Dalits will get in through the windows of opportunities!
Mind you the Adivasis & Minorities are waiting on the next station!
Every caste in Hinduism has feudal mentality & hence every time one feudal mentality will get replaced by another feudal mentality!
We expect the degree & scale of feudlism to go down with the advent of Mayavati!

Geez! No wonder the British realised this quickly and put up a huge railway infrastructure to keep Indians fighting to get on the train.
If Mayawati can really try to bridge the gap between the FC & Dalits in terms of good understnding- she will really achieve laurels- This will throw away all those pretentious secular idiots out of the window- who treat the FC as untouchables only. Let Mayawati in combination with other like minded hindu parties like BJP bring back the glory of past hindu heritage- minus caste division. Jai Hind
