We are watching this type of complete farce from years.People had seen Ayub Khan days , Zia ul Hauq days & now Your days ? Even the democracy in Bangladesh is much better than Pakistan's so called democracy. Terrorist camps are very active in Pakistan. They are taking lives of innocent people. What Pakistan is Funding in Terrorist activities to destabilise India , if they can use this fund for the welfare of Pakistan then the lives of common people of Pakistan will be much better.

Here is a military dictator, who overthrew an elected government, interferes continously with the judiciary and assaults the press.
And to top it all, he claims that he belives in "freedom" !!!!
What a joke...!!!

Yes, what he omitted to say is that he believes in freedom (for himself) to mess with things that are inconvenient to him and the freedom to screw up institutions and the freedom to corrupt them and such similar "freedoms"

It was a great surprise to know that pakistan is progressing under Musharraf Leadership.Where people will eat 3 times meal and have a sound sleep there is no more terrorism.
Now it is Pakistani army and peoples should see that we have better relations together,Millions of rupees defence spending to be reduced instead to help those poor people of both countries and to make this conitinet a green of peace and light,Then only Pakistan and Musharraff will become and ideal Muslim and real minded peace leader.

There is no alternative to Mush
by Anurag Shrivastava on Mar 26, 2007 04:37 PM  Permalink

Musharraf is probably the best leader Pakistan has ever produced or could have oped for. Their democracy will throw up only thugs like Nawaz Sharif or the fundamentalist. A military strongmen with secular and liberal disposition can take decisions which are quick and good for the country. Most educated people in Pakistan are actually quite happy to have the general running the show because of the cultural freedoms and economic growth that has happened during his rule. And this guy is really the most courageous leader anywhere in the world.

Musharraf is the best bet for Pakistanis and for Indians. The democratic forces in Pakistan are nothing more than criminals and fundamentalists trying to snatch power. Benazir Bhutto , even if she becomes PM , will be kept out of loop on security issues so there is no point banking on her. Only Musharraf can have strength to remove terrorism which is deeply entrenched in ISI over there.

Dear Srivastava,
Your enthusiasm about Musharaff is out of place. He will do nothing of the sort that you think he is capable of. He has been in power only because of ISI support and J&K fire fanning. Now he is being forced to change the stance and is facing the music. He is already a loser.

Simply because, the fundamentals of Pak's origin is that they are in the lineage of the invaders. Given the fact that the invaders of the past ruled, the same logic is applied there too!
