by shobana nair on Apr 18, 2007 12:59 PM  Permalink

Yes it is great to have a life full of challenges and uncertainties as one and all can not live such a life. But Sunita has proved it other wise. She has spent a life full of challenges and adventures and lucky for her many near and dear ones around her has supported her to excel in what ever she has set to do.She can be a strong example to the youngsters these days who vile their time in persute of nothing or anything not worth the struggle.

Suni the one who conquered space even when she knew the risks involved after the Kalpana chawla mishap
by shobana nair on Apr 18, 2007 09:34 AM  Permalink

Its very exciting to hear someone speak from space and continue being connected to earth from far above the gravity.By doing the marathon in space she has been committed with her involvment with good social work even while being absent on earth. That loudly shows where ever you are your attitude and intentions counts as far as your message is genuine to the world.Thank you Suni for being connected in a message through a space marathon, wish you all the best in future too,our well wishes to all above on space stations. The Universe is getting small thus so be connected,it inspires many down here.Shobana Nair.

May India catchup with US
by asokan a on Mar 25, 2007 08:50 PM  Permalink

We are about 40 years behind US in space science. Only names like Sunita and Kalpana make us comfort a little. Let the Chandrayaan happen. Hope we shall catchup with US before 2020.

Why being so senti for an american?
by Pragya Tripathi on Mar 25, 2007 05:50 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Can't understand why indian media is being so sentimental about this american astronaut... some Indians even talked to her in space and someone asked her that how india looked from there especialy giving example of Rakesh sharma's answer of the same question and she gave such a dry answer...

Well, you never will because Aeronautics & Astronauts are not our Indian's cup of tea. We are only fit to indulge ourselves in matters like Communalism, Casteism, Corruption, Mud - Slinging, Regionalism etc.
Instead of surging forward into the Space age, we will always tend to go back towards the Archaic Ages.
