Resignation of CM
by Dipal Choudhury on Mar 19, 2007 03:48 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Buddhadeb is still regarded as a clean face among the wretched marxist leaders and confused as Mamata. It is essential that people of Nandigram should get justice and I believe that dirty local politicking is responsible as well as local "goons" of CPI(m)cadres. Let us move forward to reconstruct West Bengal. Industrial development is necessary but one need to see that people should have a say in the process. Rehabilitation must not only to payment of one time compensation but identify and engage the real loser in some gainful employment, make them stakeholders in the SEZs. Do not take away fertile land, instead, Govt should utilise backward area, build infrastructure, provide basic facilities and call industrialists to develop further into an economic activity, built a mechanism to enage local people to have a say. It may not be an wishful thinking and can be converted into a working model.

How much do u get paid by that confused soul mamta?Has she got youa job or somethign that u r hell bent on promoting that "CONFUSED SOUL".If you are so so concerned then talk about the issue of nandigram(what ever is done, is done, now think how to ease the situation and what steps can be taken to pacify the suffered) and stability of west bengal govt.

And if you think Miss banerjee is the future of Bengal, then I can only extend my condolences for the people of bengal.

Saddening
by Manjul Saha on Mar 19, 2007 03:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Being been a Bengali and having been to say away from Bengal for the last 12 years to earn a living (as there were no jobs in Bengal when I qualified in the mid 90's) is a great pain. After Buddhadeb came to the scene and the sudden change in the investment & industrialisation climate in Bengal, I was seeing a Ray of New Hope that soon I wud be able to return to the soil and earn a living for me and my family in my Bangla. But, that is not to be. Vested interest who do not want West Bengal to flourish & prosper have well orchestrated their movement against Buddhadeb and a lady called Mamata Bannerjee whose dream of becoming the CM of West Bengal has allready died a peaceful death has again started shifting in her grave after having to face such a huge defeat in the last assembly elections. Now, what can we - the intellectual Bengalis do? Can we generate some support for Buddha Babu, at least make him NOT leave the post? Maybe in future, he wud again generate some courage to make our beloved Bengal A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN.

Budhha shoudn't resign at any cost. he is india's role model. He is first communist CM who is showing much interest in developing this state. don't try to tarnish his image...he'll surely do the necessary improvement of the state.

Idy Amin also had his set of followers like Buddha appears to have in people like you - so did Caucescu and Hitler, and Saddam and Aurangazeb...
The problem is, people like you will not realize the scale of shock & horror unless some one from your family faces with such rape or murder. It is not your fault - it is the way you were brought up!

THEY ARE JUST A BUNCH OF SHAMELESS JOKERS AND NOTHING MORE THAN THAT.

Nandigram incidence
by arungopal agarwal on Mar 19, 2007 03:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

One of the blot in the history of independent India. Communists in our country are having all sorts of adjustments with caste, creed, industrialists, criminals etc., like many other political parties. To rule is also a profession. Why CM should resign. He will have an enquiry, pay some compensation for those who killed, and enjoy the throne.
West Bengal ruling party though claims to be communists could not eradicate un employment, disparity of income etc., what is the harm if they also make money.

WEST BENGAL CM
by VENKATARAMAN RAMACHANDRAN on Mar 19, 2007 03:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is absolutely wrong comparing Buddhdeb with Narendra Modi. Modi did for certain principles and protect the Hindus by the systematic attack on them by the Minority Communities and the so called political parties. Whereas Buddhdeb did it for the development of industrialisation of West Bengal at the cost of poor farmers and to benefit him and his party. DO NOT COMPARE NARENDRA with Buddhadeb.
The acquisition of land should be handled in a professional humane manner, without upsetting any party in the dispute. I have seen many Corporates give big assurances to the local communities at the time of acquiring land, and later on will just ignore them. If they want some speecific land, I suggest they can go for dredging the sea and create new islands and give them to the major corporattes, who should pay for the bills.

MR. Venkatraman Ramachandran
Were you privy to the details of mr. modi's systematic attack on minorities in Gujarat? I am a resident of Ahmedabad for 24 years and am in a position to affirm this, that we have seen far worse situations in Ahmedabad before 2002 and there has been peace all around in Gujarat post Godhra! Yes there was blood shed during the godhra incident! But then the media too must share its responsibility for repeatedly showing the burning train and the simulated cries of passengers (they even used footage from the hindi movie Burning Train)! All the messiahs of peace like Mr. Rajdeep of the then NDDV, and the other channels went about showing the carnage non stop during that day, unmindful of the potential damage that could arise, and which is what happened! For your in formation, more lives have been lost in Ramanathapuram district of tamil nadu and many districts in UP and Bihar on caste battles than that were lost during Godhra Riots. I am not playing advocate for mr. Modi, but what i would like to state that, do not just believe what you read / see in the media and make judgements! You must see how the media behaves when the disturbances / riots erupt in states where there is a rule of their choice / or where there is a danger to their establishment, lest they say something about certain invididuals / parties! A case in point is mumbai? Compare and contrast the objectivity of media in reporting disturbances in a) Gujarat b) Maharashtr c) Karnataka!

PLEASE DONT COMPARE BUDDHADEV WITH NARENDRA MODI
by Sanjay Gupta on Mar 19, 2007 03:40 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

NARENDRA MODI HAS MADE GUJARAT INTO ONE OF THE MOST PROSPEROUS STATES IN INDIA.

EVEN 10 BUDDHADEV'S CANT DO FOR BENGAL WHAT MODI HAS DONE FOR GUJARAT.

ONE THING BUDDHADEV MUST BE CREIDTED FOR IS ILLEGAL INFLUX OF PEOPLE FROM BANGLADESH AND FOR KILLING THE PEOPLE OF BENGAL WITHOUT BATTING AN EYELID

its gladdening to read a bold statement like the one you made. modi has become a favourite passtime for the communists. only searching & seeing a spot in a white shirt is a negative mindset. secondly, i dont understand what is the meaning of 'intellectuals'...??? what is their contribution to the society to claim a high ground? in my opinion they are nothing but fantasy-sellers & the communists has no dearth of them.

DONT RESIGN BUDDHADEV
by TSN Xumar on Mar 19, 2007 03:40 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I saw some of those intellectuals last Satueday. Kaushik Sen was at his effeminate best - reciting poems that made no sense. It was so confusing - that Kabir Suman ( the turncoat) has to appeal to the junta that they were free to leave if they wanted to.

In the meantime we were held up some young chaps - chanting extreme left slogans - while wearing Nike sneakers and Lee jeans. What hypocrits -

Ignore them Buddha - only an election can decide whether Bengal is with you - not what the so called dishonest bunch of intellectuals say.

Stay Buddha Stay...
