CM and Hm shd be hanged for these deaths..
by Kishore Babu TVN on Mar 15, 2007 08:47 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

"There was fierce fighting by both sides, but when the security forces ran out of ammunition, the rebels lobbed grenades and petrol bombs on the barracks. The policemen were forced to come out from the shelter after it caught fire, and were subsequently killed in firing by the Naxalites," a source said.

Going by this statement, There wont be enough ammunition, the officials deciding how much moneey shd be given for weapons never stay in forests. How do police can fight when there is no proper ammunition? So CM wants them to die just like that..is this not the failure of Govt in estimating how much ammunition shd be kept at a remote police station? State CM and Hm shd be hanged for these deaths.

Kishore Babu:

Over the years police has ignored criminals taking bribes and has harassed innocent people, raped woman complaining about rapes, and so on.

Jaise karenge waisa bharenge.

Justice is the KEY to Peace & Security:
by Imaan on Mar 15, 2007 08:32 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

God commands justice, the doing of the good, and liberality to kith and kin.

He forbids all shameful deeds, injustice and rebellion. Thus does he instruct you, that you may receive admonition. (Quran 16:90)

O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other).

Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of God is (he who is) the most righteous of you.

And God has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). (Quran 49:13)

What is the cause?
by Prashanth DSouza on Mar 15, 2007 08:25 PM  Permalink

Rediff articles (and most indian news sites) fail to provide or just plainly ignore the cause of the problem. The news is just posted without any analysis. It is essential to post what is the grouse of the naxalites in the article so that the reader can discern. If there is nothing to discern at all, how does rediff expect to have discerning readers? Foreign sites like bbc.co.uk and the Guardian clearly point out that the naxalites are fighting against the land grabbing activities of the government and corporates. There is also an idea in the articles about how the naxalites operate, their areas of operation and to what extent the government is handling the situation. Nothing of the sort in rediff!! It's time to stop just focussing on cricket and bollywood and get to the real issues and stories so that real awareness is created.

Of course it is act of terrorism. But my dear, Naxals get arms because of police neglect only.

Police should be more careful about future; i.e. they should be on duty and work harder rather than ignoring cases and taking bribes to harass innocent common man. I hope this serves as a wakeup call.

warning to exploiters
by Kumar Diwakar on Mar 15, 2007 07:56 PM  Permalink

unless we go to the root cause of this violence, this will keep on happening. No matter which political party comes into power since this problem is related to our society where exploitation take place in name of castism. As long as developed people (majority from uc and few from lower castes) keep on doing attrocities on poor people on any pre-text, nobody is going to stop it. When poor people does not get timely justice and society shows it's ignorance, there is no other alternative then taking guns in hands.. Naxal people never talks breaking India into parts or go with another country.. So it is wrong to compare them with terrorists like in Kashmir or North East.. People have to come forward to help them and delivering justice in timely for any wrong done.. otherwise it will keep on happening..
