Why should Buddadeb go with 5000 men army if all he wants to do is bring control? Isn't there a simpler way - Dialgoue?
If he insists that land won't be grabbed against people's will, all he has to do is give open statement that plan is dropped/on hold. Period.
Then when situation diffuse further, hold dialgoue and come to a conclusion.
Please, please don't say Buddadeb wanted dialgoue and people rejected it. It was an insincere effort - given his track record in Singur where we went ahead with fencing even before any dialgoue, why won't people be frightened?

Yes, there is a solution to every problem. Here in WB I feel that it is the adamant attitude and ego politics of WB Chief Minister created all this problem in his state. He should sit together with opposition and the parties involved instead of imposing brutal force on innocent villagers and kisans and discuss all in wholeheartedly. Development is okay, but for industries development you should not write off agricultural development. There should be lakshmn rekha in between. Don't use agricultural and forest lands for industrial purpose as in India and even WB there are enough place whee waste land and dry lands are largely availabe. Use it for industrial purpose. There should be a model code of conduct for the entire country to acquire land for industrial development. Industries should be pollution free. Kisans and Industrial establishements come togehter and industrial houses has to ensure that they are not taking the bread and butter of kisans as without the development of agricultural products nobody can live. We are getting bread and butter from agricultural and not from chemical products and vehicles or electronic items. All are telling that we need foreign investments for developing this country. But actually who wants foreign investements in India? We have enough resources here in India and from our country, large unaccounted money are going out of country and are kept in undisclosed accounts in BANKS like SWISS banks etc. We have to re-structure the entire tax system prevailing in India in a scientific manner so that maximum tax we can get from the deserved individuals, establishemnts, joint ventures and industries. Be practial and instead of going for big industries, go to strengthen co-operative based industries wherein marketing of the products controlled by State / Central Govt. Enough we can do if intellectuals / politicians and administrators are interested to solve the problems country facing and we can make this country more and more super strong country on all aspects. But narrow minded/egoistic politics to be detroyed from the minds of Indian Politicians first.
Its a ridiculously ILL effort to get the report from the WRONG-DOER ITSELF : just like asking the dacoit to do a self-coverage where he can say he had to punder because he was ?attacked. GROSS LIES are what this report is. Just think "Why the police had to go there in SUCH LARGE NUMBERS atthe very first place?"

There are blatant lies afloat like "Opposition is responsible" and "Islamic or antisocial violence". Be sure of the fact that unless there is spontaneous support from within the people of the soil no such mass movement can happen. Cutting of roads and whatsoever has been spontaneous and TO PREVENT INHUMAN ATROCITIES of the ruling party. Opressing people to "hell" who own or work in their land and then you say "Govt wanted to talk" and "Govt has done the right thing" ??
Answer this :
1) Have you ever visted ONCE the affected areas ? If you can spare only 5 hours out of say 262800 hours of your life go and speak to the local people - you can find out the truth ! Then come to these boards ! ( Dont falsely say you went : that is easily caught ! )
2) Why there had has to be such turmoil ? People were working there and earning too all very peacefully! Why did you need to brutally jeopardize a good economy ??
3) Why the unutlized lands are not being used ? Find the truth : there are plenty you can see on google maps of WB !!
4) No infrastructure ? Companies not wanting to take them ? All are bogus logic. If infrastructure is not there it can be started to build even NOW and within 5 years we can have enough to lure the companies.
5) No money ? Literally huge amount of money is being stolen, millions of crores ! Add to that all sorts of corruption and inefficiency. Why not attack this menace ? All funds on agriculture has been stolen so now the industrialists' money is needed to for the blackmoney-fed people with power. Do a proper enquiry to find how much money is changing hands of the local party leader/s, various officials and others.
6) Oppostion or for that matter anyone - NONE are opposed to industrialization ! Such spread is a ridiculous LIE !! Only they are saying it should be done in unutilized land. Hey ! Will you give away your home and and land and paaraa ???? WILL YOU ? Why not START the thousands of closed industries or new ones in those lands ??
7) Multi-crop land are MORE precious than anything. In another 25-50 years they will be nearly as precious as fuel. WB feeds on plenty of imported wheat and other food stuffs. Why not be first self-sufficient in food ? If in outside worlds farmers can belong to the richer section why NOT here ? False facts such as `Not enough goodness in soil` and `low yields` are fabricated to hide the HUGE amount of theft in agro raw materials and inefficeincy of officials and ministers. Why NOT make agriculture itself a major industry ?? Why ???
2 easy proofs of what I say : - Go and see the lands, talk to the people ! - 30 years in power in continuation is just NOT possible without corruption and oppression. How much you may shout against this fact, the fact itself is a proof of itself.
