The fishermen know that these attacks are by the Sri Lankan navy whose hatred for Tamils spills into Indian Tamils and Hindus in general. In early 1900, all Malayalees living in Colombo was expelled. In the riots of 1983, all Hindus were targetted. There were lots of north Indian ladies who would start wearing western or Sinhalese cloths not to be identified as Hindus in 1983. This was in Colombo.
India needs to either take over Lanka or take over the Tamil portion of Lanka as that is historically been part of India through the Chola empire. It was the British who joined it with the Sinhalese portion ot make it easier on administration. India being a power sits and does nothing, while Indian fishermen get killed by a foreign Navy!!!!

This is a clever BLACKMAIL Tactics hatched by the Indian policy makers and Srilankan COWARDS to blackmail Tamilnadu into agreeing for JOINT NAVAL SURVEILLANCE, in the name of protecting TN fishermen, to attack the LTTE's NAVAL WING -SEA TIGERS- as the Srilanka preparing for major offensive in LTTE's stroghold of VANNI shortly and Srilankan military- as ever, are cowards and always shoot hiding behind India or some big powers- urged the India to help them attacking LTTE SEA TIGERS during the forthcoming WAR and India, DESPITE HAVING ONE OF THE MOST SOPHISTICATED AND BRAVE NAVY, deliberately allowing Srilankan NAVY to kill Tamilnadu Fishermen to blackmail Tamilnadu into agreeing the JOINT NAVAL ATTACK ON LTTE as the Srilanka needed NOW despite Srilanka sold her Soverignty to China and US -ACSA.
