On what basis should you trust them. Killing of our BSF Jawans? Recent killings of hindus in bangladash? Recent Rapes commited on Hindu girls? Terrorist activity that is florishing from Bangladesh soil? There may be handful instances which indicate that not all share the same opinion as the recent Govt. but if you think who voted that Recent Govt to power in Bangladesh. its Their People. So can we infer something from this?

Except the last govt. which encouraged Islamization and anti-India stance, Bangladesh has always been tilted towards India. No matter what we say here or no matter what some Bengalis say, the govts. of both countries have been close. For populist reasons, the last govt. showed as if it is anti-India, but it still talked to India. India provides millions of US$ as aid to Bangladesh and Bangladesh is flooded with Indian goods (and arms). Bengalis are liberal, normal people like Indians. It will be wrong to generalize our experience of others to Bangladesh. I know that migration created difficulties for Assamese, but Bangladeshis enter our country for a better future and that means they are rather friendly and open to us. Will Pakistanis enter our country for better jobs or income? Never. When I worked in middle east for one year (I am Hindu), whenever Pakistanis or Arabs made any verbal attack on me, Bangladeshis were on my side. Pakistanis often made verbal attacks on Bangladeshis as well. Also in 5 other countries I have worked or studied in, I found Bangladeshis very friendly. Let us not imagine things. It is a stroke of fate that Bangladesh is a separate country today and Bengal is divided. It could have been part of India also and in far future, when there is no terrorism & Bangladesh is not poor, the borders will certainly become irrelevant.
before making friend let the bangladesh be secular both in political and social way...even in their history book on their independence the role of indian army is not mentioned, not revealing the truth to the young generation.....and hence obviously the young generation are not greatful to india

THE WAY BAPU IDENTIFIED THE BRITISH... THE WAY ULFA IS IDENTIFYING INNOCENT BIHARI LABOURS TO KILL THEM.. YOU NEED NOT HAVE TO CHECK ID CARDS OF THEM.. AND IF YOU FEEL THAT THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BANGLADESHI & ASSAMESE PERSON TO IDENTIFY- ACCEPT THEM AS ASSAMESE! AFTERALL OPPOSITE OF "DIFFERENT" IS "SAME"....

well, most of them are Muslims and can be differentiated from Muslims in West bengal through dialects and differences in culture as they come from a different nation. Maybe authorities can help common people to give more clues to identify. If the authorities and people have a collective will.

Seems like a valid Point - it IS a valid to an extent. But the answer is not so simple. At the very personal level, Muslims in general and immigrant Pakis and immigrant Bs in general are very very nice and smooth people and extremely nice to deal, much better than arrogant locals. So naturally people fall for it and employ them - it is hard to resist at individual level. They are very cunning and show their color only when it is very safe for them to do. It is a very well thought of strategy by Bs. Do you think these people come on their own. They are made to come here by direct and indirect proddings by B authorities. at Macro level their strategy has been to invite, welcome, fund, train and provide all resources and safe havens as well as extremely lavish life styles to NE terroists leaders (Try to learn how some of the NEleaders live in Bangladesh - you will be shocked with the luxuries they enjoy) and then use these leaders to plant seeds of dicontent within the Common people of NE India exaggerating and highlighting the problems that are existing (and even non existing ones). This is all parts of a Pan-Islamic Axis. At least some Muslims who wrote comments to articles in rediff have openly and proudly claimed that within next century, Ceylon to Russia will be Completely Islamic with Pakistan as center. Well if Secular Hindus are not alert this can definitely happen. Yes if we have leaders like BAPU (without Selfish followers like Nehru who can throw away the advantage of scrifice of the naion for their personal benefits), we may be able to do that but where are 'leaders' today, for great ones? That is why he was balled Mahatma and Mahatma's are not born evry now and then.
