Sri Sri wants to bring Dalits and caste Hindus closer
by op suman on Mar 06, 2007 05:09 PM  Permalink

Sri Sri efforts are in the line of reformist Gurus & Rishis in the past. It's not enough to talk about the good things done in the past & present. Giving clarion call to Dalits for rising & fighting casteism ,will not root out the age old system.
He makes too simplistic the whole issue ?
Remarkably, little he says to the people who rules & to the civil society at large for reversing the heinous system prevailing in the twenty first century. Never forget our society is not tuned for Dalits , Dalits are finely tuned for it. For the fine tuning in the society, a new paradigm, framework has to be built by the "thinking class".

Great initiative but no politics please
by navin aysola on Mar 06, 2007 04:53 PM  Permalink

Let this be a movement by the Hindus and for the Hindus. Let's not align it with anything else and not politicise it. I'm sure by now lot of politicians in Art of Living have already licking their lips.

Samarasata most essential amongst Hindus
by nitin moghe on Mar 06, 2007 03:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Samarasata is most essential for hindus world wide and will unite all Hindus. Unity will give strength to Hindu society and then enemies of Hindu culture and Hindu society will never dare to achieve what they are aiming for through relogious conversions. In the past, Great Saints have tried to bring Samarasata2, Dr. Ambedkar tried the same, RSS has followed this path and now the present religious leaders like Sri Sri are trying to bring Samarasata. This Ganaga of Samarasata will clean all our minds and will bring Peace and Prosperity in India and in the world.
SARWEPI SUKHINA SANTU SARWE SANTU NIRAMAYA...

RSS is striving hard to make samarasata?! What a joke! RSS is dividing the country in the name of Hindutva and justifying the dehumanising caste system. Dont you know who was behind the recent riots and communal violence?

I knew the minute that something wonderful as the reconciliation of the dalits and other hindus is initiated, the christians will find ways to sabotage the process, because unity among hindus essentially means the end of the conversion game of the christians. To prove my point - here you are, a christian, trying hard to find ways to protest this unity. Take a (long) hike, will you, or better still - why not come back to hinduism, considering that your forefather himself must have been taken advantage of by the christian missionaries, and forced to give up his own religion - hinduism.

I am a so called hindu Brahmin. I do not believe in caste system that is existing today. I give my full support to remove the difference between caste hindus and dalit hindus. I stand by Sri Sri for his efforts to remove the barrier between hindus.

outlaw the caste system
by vicar on Mar 06, 2007 03:46 PM  Permalink

Someone who has integrity should try to bring all hindus under one platform and outlaw the caste system. It is because of the caste system that hindus are in danger of extinction. Unles we wake up the proletysation activities of Christian Missionaries and Muslim Mullas will ensure that Hindus will be history in near future.
