With more dogs around, their network should get stronger :-))
Jokes apart, stray dogs are unfortunately DHOBI KA KUTTA ... they are neither domesticated nor wild!! We should do whatever we can in our individual capacity to domesticate them. Adopt at least one of the strays if possible!!

now thats a good suggestion....if we cant stand them on the streets....then keep them inside...for they are the true indian dogs..instead of adopting fancy foreign dogs for fashion..we should adopt our own street dogs...i have 7 street dogs at home..i cant accomodate more...but i wish ppl would follow pursuit...

Let us take an example of lions or tigers roaming around cities, what would you?. The thing is though we have to respect other lives, we also have the right for self-defence. Harming innocent life for fun or sport is wrong. But however this also does not mean we let ourselves get harmed. Solutions might include creating seperate sanctuaries for dogs, and sterilizing most of the street dogs. It's not like people who want to have pet dogs are going to take to street dogs. So only solution might be to sterilize unwanted breeds so that eventually their population gets reduced. I am against killing stray dogs because some stray dog killed someone. Even though I hate selective breeding and we humans selecting what species must survive or , I think this might be the only practical soultion.
In Nagaland, Mizoram and some parts of they have speciality cuisines made out of dog's meat...SO its better to send the dogs to Nortn east , where the price of Dogs meat is Rs. 140/KG.
So other states get rid of the dog menace and the north east is able to enjoy the large supply for their favourite cuisine.
Dogs have been a part of human society since ages. Man has tamed them & used them to such an extent that they have bcome very much depended on humans for their survival.Now that humans no longer need them in so called civilized society they want them all 2 b elimnated. An example of oppurtunism of humans. They think every creature on earth is created 2 serve them & use them thanklessly. There r lot of dogs,birds or other animals each day killed/murdered on roads by reckless vehichles but there is no law to protect them.It seems their lives r all for free. These human beings r no less to cine villans in commiting atrocities to dumb creatures which cant express and have to helplessly bear all the atrocities commited to them. It is no good thing that children get killed by them.But who is resoponsible for that? Y punish the dogs for mistake of society,govt.But these 4 legged creatures cannot defend themselves & the brave men resort to elimnate them, what an easy way to solve the problem.But they cant control the consequences of imbalance that they r creating. Now that the wastes on which dogs r feeding will feed their compitetors such as rodents, thier population will explode.The decaying matter which will lie unattended will lead to epidemics. This humans act just like a cancer to this earth.

Anything in excess needs to be controlled/ eliminated. Even the rats, cockroaches and insects cannot defend themselves. So what do you do... Do you let them live.
Also if your child was mauled to death by a set of stray dogs, would you still keep the same rational approach.
Keep the pet dogs under leash. And the others need to be eliminated. All this talk is only by the rich elite bored housewives who have nothing better to do.

Import dogs to south east asian counrteis...Many feed on dog meat...We get rid of Dogs..at the same time we get foreign exchange.

i think the best solution to india's export prob...is to export baba kamdev and kerry like people in packages to norway,scandinavia...nd other places where they eat human meat...
The stray dogs need to exterminated or have them breed in a different habitat like a zoo. Leaving them on the street means exposing humans - who are on the streets either late in the night or early on the morning - to dog bites. Most of these dogs are also carrying some or the other disease. Also, they assume the role of wild dogs by persuing in packs. They even follow bike riders or even cars. They definately need to removed from the streets to make the roads safe.

Yeah, I fully agree with you. Stray dogs should be terminated or sent to the house of dog lovers who should dare take care of them. Why should they be roaming the streets and troubling all of us?

the dogs were here before us humans....they have more right to live on the streets than humans...if you cant stand them then take refuge in your own house...even rodents multiply because of our lack of hygiene

cmon guys we are not the creator or destroyer God has created everything and we should not interfere with his law. we shud not kill any one else we shud find some other solution so that everybody lives happily
