No wonder this news concerning a political figure from Kerala is getting prominence at a time when the relation between the two states is at the lowest ebb. Or else, it would have passed off without any incident as though the person concerned was only carrying few canddies in his baggage!!! That is the mocokery of our political and admin sanity..
Why are everyone concerned about news like this? Leader carrying a pistol, Leader accidently touching a fellow lady passenger. It really shows our immaturity. Why dont we think about more interesting, and productive things like the smart City and all???

It was not a real security lapse. They did not dare to X ray his bag. Such is the hold these communist have over the people. The communists and their goondas rule Kerala and even the CISF cannot say a word against this so called leader.

There was a security lapse from trivandrum airport in kerela, which they have confessed, and some more investigation is going on.
I believe this is the same person who was one of the probables for Kerala CM post.These lawless Communist party people get away with murder & large scale goondaism in their home states. These people who are supposed to show direction to the people are themselves most directionless. This is the example tey are setting for the general public. No wonder then that the workers & people who idolise them also follow in their footsteps.He should be given the most serious punishment. But alas we know/ he knows that nothing will happen to him.

Before commenting we have to understand the full fact. Mr. Vijayan is the State secretaryof CPM in Kerala and Polit Bureau member of CPM. Due to lot of violent incidents involving CPM activists, his life is under threat and Central intelligence Bureau and state police has cautioned the Govt. several times and he has been offered "Z" catagory security. After considering the inconvenience of so-many Police accompanying him at a time, he has refused the same and accepted a very minimal escort, that too when he is in Kerala.He has been provided by one Pistol with licence. The licence for same was under renewal. While submitting for renewal the bullets had removed and being a small object the same have not noticed by him in his laptop bag. After getting the explanation and fax copy of the licence he has been permitted to travel. However as per the agreed terms the original Licence has not submitted and not collected back the bulletts, T.N. Police has filed the FIR. This is to avoid any criticisam as he is a contraversal political personality. This much I understand from news papers and which may be the facts. -Unnikrishnan

Sakhav Unni, Believe ur story as same news came throuh newpapers. But Q is why he failed to collect the bollets with showing the original docs? and how he got the Pistol (bullets) which is only for the use of service men? Also read in news Tvm security check there was no bullets in his bag!
As a leader of a responsible political organisation Mr. Pinarayi must answer the public to clean his hands.

Ok.. I am not a Communist, nor am I interested in dirty politics. But do you think that the solution you gave makes any sense?? Killing someone who has power will just make someone else take the power. People can accuse any one any time. It really would be good to know what is happening and then respond. I am from Kerala and I know what goes on here. This Pinarayi is a real goon and heads the CPM mafia. He and his party is solely responsible for encouraging corruption and militant trade unionism in Kerala.
Oops, In 30 minutes , rediff has changed the news from gun to bullets . Rediff, iam happy that you changed it ... but also wondering how stupid your reporters are to publish false news first and need public to correct the news ....
At last the action is on the part of the police. This FIR was long over due and the case should have been filed against him immediately. Whoever may be, rule of law should be equal to all.
He being an influential CPM leader, he thought he can get way with the case. How can a leader like Vijayan forget not to remove the live catridges from the laptop bag. If CIF personnel at Trivandrum believed to have told the CISF personnel in Chennai nothing was in the laptop bag when they given the security clearance. If yes how come the live catridges found in his when he landed in Chennai ?
Police should find out the facts and inform the public the truth then only we can believe there is no hoofups.
