hello, Systems can never be Ok in INDIA,whether it is Railways,Road or Public health... This is again to be blamed for bad atitude of great public of INDIA by which they endure and suffer the systems and they are only selfish to earn enough money...and run towards those countries which have better systems ....what a shame..!!!!
I dont understand, the railway authorities minting money. Why cant they elevate the area and have elevate railway lines for those flooding areas. Its been happening since British have put these railway lines. Its disgusting to read every year.

Its not that railways minting money, yeah its tru that for last few years they have started ganing. Its not just the government to be blamed we are equal partners in it. Chek any compartment you will find good number of ticketless travellers. Look at the population, look at the way people dump garbage in gutters which eventually landup in choking the drainaige pipe. Things can change only if people start realising that we are responsible instead of playing the blame game. I have been to developed countries for few times, there I have seen that people themselves take care of cleanliness, neatness. In US they will wipe of the table in restaurants after finishing lunch. So stop blaming government only, do you want gov to come and sweeep your house and neighbourhood.

This is because Bangladeshis have settled in slums besides the railway tracks....and our shameless politicians are protecting them!!!
Mumbai is the most best and entrepreneur city in India. The spirit of Mumbai in terms of life, food, business, behaviour cannot be found anywhere in India. The infrastructure of Mumbai itself is a disadvantage. Mumbai being at sea level is always at disadvantage in monsoon. Besides, it%u2019s infra caters to a lot of people, well above its carrying capacity. It%u2019s difficult to remove people who have encroached along the Mithi river. The drainage lines, storm water drainage lines have to be massively overhauled.
Even after doing this, if it rains continuously by varun raja for long time, then simply put, what can we do? Can we have some possible answers/explanations?
First we have a drainage system which I guess the British had made.
Second we have political parties which allows slum to thrive for grabbing land and creating vote banks.
Third we have the Shiv Sena who is just happy with the name being changed from Bombay to Mumbai. Rest of the time they are busy bashing up couples during valetinies days and cyber cafe owners for allowing access to Orkut site.
Fourth we have the Congress (SONIA) who is happy if Delhi gets cleaned up of all illegal structures and Mumbai remains as Slum.
Fifth we have the BMC who keeps pouring in tax payers money for repairing bad roads that they have created in the first place.
Lastly we have citizens, just like you and me, accepting it and living like worms inspite of being the highest Tax Payers.
If there is any work being done by any goverment agencies, you will realise that it is being done only because the Judiciary has given them an ultimatum.
