Justice before next election..
by Rackat Kanakam on Jun 30, 2007 11:14 AM  Permalink

Before the next election in Madurai, we pray and hope the courts complete the case of burning the Dhinakaran office and killing innocent people.

gratitude
by prasad on Jun 30, 2007 05:54 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Indian people including tamils display gratitude openly. DMK initially paid 1500Rs per vote and additional 1000Rs before election.at 2500Rs, some families with four votes made 10k and they came out in large numbers to show their gratitude. This is real reason why dmk won.Remember ADMK winning by 50000 thousands votes when they were in power.

For DMK to win in madurai, an ADMK fort they must have spent a fortune.

Congress wins Madurai West
by josyula subramanyam on Jun 29, 2007 09:18 PM  Permalink

So, sensible Madurai voters selected a devil instead of deepsea. No other go. The country needs MAHATHMA GANDHI to save the people from the present day politicians.

Let me make sure I understand this correctly.

Alagiri's people vandalised Dinakaran office. They killed 3 people. Still they won the election?

People knows that ADMK created violence and
DMK-Congress alliance is for development of madurai.

See just in 1 year of DMK rule, Madurai has got two TIDAL parks from TN govt and one more Private organised IT park. Now NOKIA is planning to set up one more manufacturing unit in Madurai. Youngsters need job (Promoted by DMK) and not violence (as promoted by ADMK).

So you mean, the guy who attacked Dinakaran office and was responsible for death of 3 people, I think his name was called 'Attack Pandiyan' , he was ADMK and not Alagiri's gang?

You negative minded guy. Get rid of rediff forum man.

Check the developments going on in Madurai by DMK-congress government. Naturally Youngsters get attracted by this as they are in need of jobs. Also we have to appreciate that DMK-Congress government is industrialisg Madurai which ADMK failed. Thats one of the main reason that Madurai-west polled 75% of votes and most of them have voted for DMK.

Thats why ADMK failed in this election.

See Vijayakanth party votes.VIJAYKANTH party has got 21,000 votes. But ADMK has just got 26,000 votes. In no time VIJAYAKANTH PARTY will overtake ADMK in TN state.

In the comming elections, political fight will be between VIJAYAKANTH party and DMK. ADMK will be reduced to small party.

Comming to your point. If DMK has initiated the violence, why will 75% of the voters will stand in the queue and vote. Will they not fear about the violence?. Talk with sense here.

RediffReader ...if you didnt have a problem with the verdict in Gujarat....you shouldnt have a problem with the verdict in TN. Or is it a selective preference?

BTW....If not DMK backed Cong.....it will be AIADMK.....bottomline.....fortunately South India...votes for progress. Though in recent times some people have been trying to change that.

Tolerance and social justice are the key for PROGRESS

BJP and communal parties will never have strenght in southern India. Southern India strives for tolerance, equality, social justice and harmony!!! We need solidarity and social progress, not religious intolerance. Live and let live!!!

BJP was never a national party to begin with and had limited stronghold in just BIMARU Central Indian states of India and Gujarat(which is an exception). It is second fiddle to Sena in Maharashtra, second fiddle to Akali dal in Punjab, and non-existent in J&K, Bengal or North eastern states. It is only Bimaru UP with 80 lok sabha seats that made BJP come to power at the centre. Compare this to Congress which is there in every other state of India as the main party. And now BJP is out of UP too. So it is going to be dead pretty soon.

I don't think BJP is going to be dead soon. India needs a strong opposition and alternative government party. All best democracies in the world should have a strong opposition and I think that the BJP although its communal plattform is the best national party to play that role. It may be communal but it is nationalist which is better than regionalist!
Regionalist parties are the main danger to national integration.

BJP never existed before and never going to exist in TN.

One or two BJP MLAs got elected only because of individual strength and not because of BJP strength.

Few MPs got elected because of BJP alliance with ADMK & DMK.

check the madurai by-poll results. BJP lost the deposit . It just got above 1000 votes out of 1.2 lakhs votes polled.

congress on its own won 35 seats in TN assembly elections. It is rising in TN. You will see that in 2011, it will unsurp both DMK and AIDMK from TN and it is good for the ppl of TN to get another alternative. They must be sick and tired of DMK/AIDMK and petty revenge politics. For now Cong and DMK have a very good understanding and whatever stunts joker amma plays is not going to work. And don't even mention BJP here. It is totally non-existent in TN and pretty soon will be non-existent in whole of India. Bloody communal party full of power hungry morons!!!!!
