Nehru
by my message on Jun 29, 2007 07:06 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Most of the decisions taken by Nehru as PM of India were faulty. It has taken just 60 years for these wrong decisions to take a heavy toll on India. Instead of taking radical solutions, he wanted to take a middle path for all issues. The rot would have been worse if not for people like Sardar Patel.

He wanted a centralised and socialised economy, much against the ideas of greater and better leaders like Dr. C Rajagopalachari and look where that has taken India to.

The division of India on linguistic basis, the emphasis on Public Sector Undertakings, the over dependence on Soviet Union, the wrong foreign policies, etc were all blunders. It was Dr. Rajagopalachari who had said that the work of the Govt was to govern and not to be in business or manufacturing. He was brused aside by Nehru and we know today how right Dr. Rajagoplachari was.

If Nehru had the vision, we would not be having the Kashmir trouble today.

Atleast for posterity and his followers and admirers ,we should know what was Nehru and his cotribution to the present Indian problems ( KASHMIR ,LINGUISTIC STATES etc ).Moreover, this is one more instance which reinforces the belief that an INDIAN should not believe communists and especially the Indian variety who have no qualms in sharing power with anyone so long as it suits them and also create Nandigrams .Atleast the present govt should learn from history and see through the Chinese (pseudo)communists'games and not fall a prey to their machinations.

Its not living in the past, but learning from your mistakes! Unfortunately the very people who led India to such disasters are in power again and making more blunders with their spineless policies.

Of course the treacherous Commies hypocrites will always say "American propaganda" to wish away such unpleasantries like Nehru's idiocy naievity and arrogance, but the facts are there, glaring and obvious for all to see, no matter how much one may want to pretend not to see.

China & Pakistan Partition
by Mukund on Jun 29, 2007 06:51 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The losses made by 2 leaders because of China war & Parkistan partition is several times more than all losses so called made by all opposition parties in India in last 60 years. But we are so shameless that we still want such people to rule our country.

Agreed. Whan George Fernandez as defence minister correctly identified China's threat and called them 'the enemy' why did not the BJP go to war with china? America is waiting for a chance to embrass china and they would have helped us. Were they too spineless?

India did not go to war, but certainly stepped up defence preparedness against the Pakistan-China axis.

Propaganda
by Arun Banik on Jun 29, 2007 06:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

These is a part of the propaganda war which the americans have waged against India and other countries in Asia. The americans always want to create an atmosphere of confusion, distrust and enimity among countries, so that cab sell their ideas, views, weapons etc. I don't understand why Rediff India publishes this kind of articles. Indo-China war was a military exercise, NOT A WAR or BLUNDER.

Arun,

Why don't you commie B--Turds learn to get you head out of your politburo behinds!!

Your conception was a "military exercise" where your father had to gain territorial rights over your mothers private areas to conceive a commie swine like you!!

You traitor, our brave soldiers died defending their country in that WAR!

Do you even know what a Military exercise is?

Why the hell are you living in India? Why don't you go and live with your real Chinese father?!!

The Americans have only published this information which is more than 4 decades old. If many of the decisions taken by Nehru are analyised, it will be clear that these allegation could indeed be true.

Nothing could be more ridiculous than the (mis)statement that Indo-China war was an exercise! Where on earth did you get this idea? Talk to the families of those who laid down their lives defending people like you. What a waste of precious human lives for people like you who do not deserve it. Such statements are slaps on the faces of the families of who lost their loved ones at God forsaken places Bomdila and Tawang. Worse still is the fate of those whose kin are still listed as 'Missing in action'. Shame on you for making such a statement. You are just like Nehru, Krishna Menon, Gen.Kaul and Brig. Dalvi who let the country down.
