North Indian never forced you to learn Hindi. You people(specially Tamil) are so insecure to your language that you have made it a political agenda.Language was never an issue in north India.Hindi(devnagri lipi) is our mother tongue and we are proud of it.You are a victim of inferority complex.

abey jhingur.. devanagari lipi is a script (used to write hindi and marathi) and not your mother tongue..

You got it just about right. The thing is 99.99% of Indians do not know that Hindi is not a National language in our constitution. It can only be made a National language only when all states ratify it - a fat lot chance of that stupidity happening :>

Dear Mr. recent i can understand your feelings . I agree hindi is no where near to any of south indian language.But same way even english isnt. If you people have accepted english why not hindi. Even i m not hindi originally but i learnt it & accepted the fact that its our national language not because of dominance of north indian politicians because this language sopken by most of the states in india. Had it been a tamil language sopken in 5-6 states i m sure we would have tamil as our national language. So i guess people who think of coming out of south india for their career need to know both hindi & english otherwise no need...stick to your choice. In our rural area where farmers never come of of his own town dont need to know any other language than their native language & why would they?

someone has reported my main post for abuse and they are doing the same when i repost it.
First of all I know hindi and can speak fluently. But I had heard North Indians asking "how can you be a an Indian if you dont speak hindi?" this were my concern is. North Indians are forcing others to learn hindi justifying it as the national language. This is totally unacceptable.

Reports keep coming in saying that the Indian economy is booming and growing at a fast rate. But does that really have an effect on the common man's standard of living ? Life has become really tough in major Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkota, Chennai and even smaller towns like Vizag, Cochin etc...the main reason being..over population. It's unimaginable to think how these cities will be in 10-20 yrs time.
Hi all North Indians staying in South, just leave South India........just go back to your North India...even we have same problems with our Chennai, Hyderabad, Cochin, Blore, and other major cities in South India.

despite all the problems, Mumbai is the best city in India. It's whole India in itself.The zeal of Mumbaikars is tremendous. We have seen it during 26th July flood and 7th july serial bomb blast.Few politicians try to spoil the social harmony to get political advantages, but i salute mumbaikars putting no ear to them.

Thats the worst part of it Ravi. I can not fathom why mumbaikars who are so lively, full of life take all these things so lightly. Why don't u guys stand up and fight against this all. Ur fighting spirit is fine but that doesnt mean that there shdnt be any prevention. All know how perilious is Mumbai's infrastructure, how pathetic is the state of open areas, parks in Mumbai, still development/builder nexus goes on building on reclaimed land, on lands where there should have been parks, open spaces. Why dont u raise ur voice against ur municipal authorities and compel them to improve things. Hearing about famed resillience of Mumbaikar is fine but we wanna hear some protest voices now and that will be for real good.
