Let us take no chance by allowing such ships to spread apprehension in the nation The permission to anchor the ship should be withdrawn by the GOI immediately in the best interest of the radiation harm to Chennai and surrounding areas
I thought people in Chennai had sense . This is sheer idiocy even Bihar would be proud of such ignorance . Ranji Saar is there to "kanna " the radiation . How about Kanmozhi or Kalaignar composing a poem on Radiation and Maran . We have Sonia and Rahul and Priyanka , they are capable of handling any radiation any Nuclear threat - by running away to Switzerland !
thousands of people dying on indian roads every day by rackless driving, drunk driving, by bad conditions of the heavey vehicals, uneducated drivers with false driving licence. WE HAVE BIGGER ISSUES WITHING INDIA BEFORE WRITING ABOUT US SHIP.

No competition at all ! Chennai has not one but two 'rivers' which are actually huge open gutters.... and there are hundreds of open sewers, major and minor, stinking their way across the city. you must smell chennai to believe it ! VAANGO SAAR !

We are discussing the union chief's intelligence and concern for humankind. Rains have created enough havoc in the region, and Chennai too I am sure, he is not worried about that. He is planning to make a fast buck.

don't take it personally. There are some good things in chennai too..... like saravana bhavan and other idli dosa joints....great taste.
I dont know why are we so scared of something that has not happened ever. If this ship is danger, then aircrafts flying in air can also develop leakage and explod, trains can also be derailed. And yes the nuclear laboratoriew we have may develop a problem and hence wiping out whole generations. Come on do not be so paranoid of a normal working ship..
The americans will beat a hasty retreat the moment they smell chennai's all pervasive stink. It appears the port workers want an excuse to stop work. They should take cue from Chennai's Municipality - they stopped working years ago.
Has anyone thought that we should prohibit such a instrument of destruction which has been the primary reasons for the death of millions of innocent children and civilians in Iraq and Afganistan. Such naval ships must be of state of the art technology but has caused so much human pain in countries where they have bombarded. As one of the most ancient civilisation on EARTH we should be raising our voice against the War that America is inflicting through such Monsters. Think if these same monsters would be bombarding our cities where children would be getting maimed for life and not in thousands but in millions ,how would it appear to you.

our cities need no bombardment from nuclear warships. just a walk by the friendly sewage drain a.k.a storm water drain should be potent enough. And not to forget those unfortunate souls who cannot hold their bladders until they reach a enclosure that reads 'Toilet'
