Are you a former muslim? I read at many places that it is very dangerous to convert out of Islam or criticise it, especially in Islam dominated countries. I would like to know the ground reality of any muslim trying to convert out of it. What kind of challenges does he face?

You should have had a lot of guts to convert out of a religion that threatens so much with hell/death for anybody who doesn't be in it. Anyway, I still didn't get the answer to my original question, what are the kinds of challenges a muslim faces if he wants to convert out of it?
According to quran, I read, he is sentenced death. And I also read many former muslims in the west keep a very low profile to escape that sentence and converts in Islamic countries don't even reveal it to anybody. But what is the ground reality? Is it really that dangerous? How do family/friends take it, etc? I am sorry, if I am asking an inappropriate question and please ignore me in that case.

I hate to think all muslims are bad. However, Islam/Quran is certainly interpreted violently by many of its practioners and the ground reality is very well explained by you in this message. Hindustan & Hinduism have been raped thoroughly by the 4% Brahmins who controlled & still control Hinduism & Hindustan. All along the history till date you find that the vast majorities within Hinduism were treated as dirt by these protectors of religion. These vast masses were made to understand that they were far far inferior than these fair skinned Brahmins. The street cleaning, the carrying of dead animals, cleaning of sewerages and all such dirty works are still being done by other castes. Where are these Brahmins ? They are all, most of this generation in US, and others holding very high offices in India. Remaining few thugs from them run the rogue organisations of RSS/VHP/Bajrangi's & BJP, vociferously spreading hatred amongst others.
These people just want to keep the others fighting. Sometimes Hindus Vs Christians on some filmsy issue of conversions. Sometimes Hindus Vs Muslims, creating a picture of muslims anti National. Other times Hindus Vs Hindus, i.e. BC's OBC's Vs Upper Castes Hindus to fight against Reservations. So this major population - BC's - 25%, OBC's - 52%, Muslims-15% and Christians - 2%, these all are National Enemies according to these 4% Brahmins.
They are creating the greatest myth about other religions being responsible for conversion, whereas the truth is most of the backwards till now are made to suffocate within Hinduism under Brahmin dominance. They are pushed to accept other religions, be it Christianity, Islam or Buddhism.

It is astonishing to learn that these 4% create such conditions for their own brethren to leave the religion and again blame the muslims or christians for converting them. What do they exactly want ? Do they want to keep the vast masses under their control and are they scared that these secondary citizens under their control may get lesser & lesser.
They want to protect Brahminism at any cost. They feel proud about being a born Brahmin, the purest of the pure blood. They want that exclusivity. There are few builders like Paranjpe builders in Pune who build societies only for Brahmins. The people of other caste are not allowed to buy a flat there. This mindset of exclusivity, only for Brahmins, has created a lot of problems to India. Many intellectuals from other castes could never get education. Still they try to project as they are the protectors of tis Nation and all others, BC's, OBC's, Muslims & Christians are the National Enemies. The true colour of these 4% and the organisations of them, (run) by them & for them( their interest) like RSS, VHP, Bajrangi's & BJP needs to be understood by the vast majorities. These vast majorities should allow these 4% to make you dance on their tune. This time against Bc's, other time against muslims, someother times against christians. Enough of their superiority. So breaking India is OK for you, Hindus Vs Muslims, Hindus Vs Christians, Hindus (Higher castes) Vs Hindus (Lower castes). Killing Mahatma Gandhi & adoring a terrorist Nathuram Godse as National Hero is fine with you and your rogue organisations. When the reality about the Brahmin activities is put forward, you feel that Hindus are being broken. Are Hindus, Hinduism or Hindustan the property of these 4% Brahmins ? If they propogate (thru their organisations) that Muslims are anti national, everybody should bring down the mosque or kill innocent muslim women & children. If they propogate Christians are not loyal, everybody should start killing some missionaries and raping some nuns and burning down some churches. If they say BC/OBC's are not worth, you all will start taking processions against them and stop the functioning of hospitals.

The more you get involved in hate mongering the more you leave your own house unprotected.... Those people who left hinduism to convert to Buddhism in front of national TV were not forced by any muslim to convert.
