a small change. americans do believe in god, besides honesty & moral values. their country is rich because their leaders are not corrupt. moreover they are well educated. see our country we treat our leaders as god's we are cinic. we give more preference to our leaders & film actors. man power & man hours not utilised properly. moreover our leaders are highly corrupt. we don't respect work. india can come up provided we must stop encouraging our dirty politicians & we must have a good system of choosing right candidate for highpost at parliament & state ministry. we spend most of our time in bluffing & cheating others. yatha raja tatha praja. murthy-b'lore.

Those are common problems of tropical countries in southern hemisphere. Reasons are mainly geographical. Hot climet influence social behaviour, efficiancy to work, also lead to groth of birth rate leading to higer population limiting the availablity of resorces per person.

get a life guys..what country are you comparing India with..a Country which has gained indipendence more than 200 years ago(1776), how does india stands infront of them while we had not even seen a 100 years..Amarica had been through its own phase of corruption,red tapeism (Watergate scandal,JFK Assassination,Civil war, vietnam war,Racial discrimination etc.) Where Amarica was after 60 years of its Independence, India is much ahead of them economically..besides America's economy is flourishing because of Indians who work there or for them..if you want to take any country as a example, let it be japan..not America

dont read me wrong..corruption is a byproduct of growth..developing country will face this problem..USA had there time.Curroption doesnt disappears overnight..but as the ratio between educated and illiterate population in the country grows in favour of litrecy..the corruption reduces,it takes time-for example, in next 50 years,who do think will be the prime minster of India..as all the politician of the present time would have perished..and five generation of population would be more educated than the ministers in the present time..so its law of inverse proportion at work here..illiteracy to governance of country.
well done its a great achivement and thanks god the crew return safely. i am wondering how they might be feeling after 195 day stay in space . i hope sunita will respect the love she has got from india and share her thoughts with indians on indian media, lets wait and see
Sunita,s achivement is laudable.She is of Indian origin,because her father is an indian,and is now an american citizen.Whatever Sunita has achieved is because she is now an american.Had she been in India,She would not achieved so much.

there are millions of indians in america ,did all of them made big it was her talent that made her to go on space mission.
we do have the technology and 200$ billion forex reserves we could have also made the things work for last 5 years we have a nuclear scientist as president but it depends on us what things we give priority since we are not giving importance to these areas talented people are moving away from country. see even 3rd grade country like pakistan is building nuclear reacters and we people in maharashtra are struggling for electricity .
the moral of the story is we indians are the laziest people on earth, when it comes to cleanliness we live in the most unhygenic conditions it has become a habit , country is the no1 in diabetes and heartdesease which are releated to lifestyle half of the populations like to enjoy tobacco and gutkas .people prefer begging to work and goal of life is aquire govt lands and ask for rehabitation in exchange of land.nobody knows where the taxmoney goes.
the only solution is we indians need pushing and pushing only to wake from the sleep
Rather than debating on the nationality of the astronauts, lets be happy on the safe landing of atlantis and all its astronauts. Also, our country can derive inspiration from this achievement and aim at conquering greater achievements beneficial to mankind.

I agree with you. They have done a tremendous job by fixing the glitches on board and returning safely. BUT OUR MEDIA NEEDS A RAP. The way, CNN, NDTV and TIMESNOW, kept covered the story, it appeared that this was a one woman space flight. So, it was a surprise when I saw the whole crew on board. OUR MEDIA WITH ITS YOU LOT OF EVANGELIST TYPE REPORTERS HAVE NO IDEA OF REPORTING AN EVENT. They forget one simple fact that, when you cover a story or event, you cover it in totality and just not keep harping on SUNITA. Through out her mission, these media channels kept on forcefeeding her samosas, idlis, vadas, parothas and what not. No wonder, when she landed, she looked overweight SHAME ON YOU NATIONAL MEDIA. YOU ARE ALL STILL AMATEURS AND REALLY HAVE NO IDEA OF REPORTING EXCEPT SENASATIONALISING REAL ISSUES. RECENT EXAMPLES ARE - ABHI-ASH MARRIAGE, LIZ HURLEY MARRIAGE, RECENT RELEASE OF SIVAJI. YOU NEED TO RELEARN WHAT IS SERIOUS NEWS AND WHAT IS TRIVIAL OR SEPARATE OUT THE TWO AS TWO DISTINCT FEATURES AND COVER IT SEPARATELY AND NOT AS HEADLINE NEWS
I think for anything which has Indian connection is blown out of proportion.There are six other people too. Lets take this easy,its absolutely right that Sunita has just Indian name. Lets accept that we are some 50 years behind any developed country and if any one of us breaks barrier and leaves this country to some developed country, its just that he/she gets these opportunities. The way its shown in media is just creating hype and seling their TRPs but the fact is that this may just be very normal for all those who travelled in Atlantis and probably they may be laughing on India looking at all this.
