Proposal of Pratibha Patil's name for the Presidentship is nothing but a sabotage of the black sheep in Indian National Congress, perhaps those who support corruption and jealous of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, to malign and throw Mrs.Sonia Gandhi and Indian National Congress from ruling the coutry! I suspect a huge sabotaging plan bhind such a notorious scheme! However, I am sure, if Pratibha Patil is elected as the President of India, well, it will hppen. Sonia Gandhi and Indian Nationa Congress will lose India!
After All these Hue & cry i remember one thing that there was same kind of euphoria when the Finance Minister raised the bar on salaried class and many reader vowed that they would bring the congress government down. UPA has completed 3 years and will be back for elections in another year or so. Poeple's memory is short, I donot know how many of us will remember what the salaried class went through the last budget.
Those who talk about Dr. Kalam's candidature are either illiterate idiots or literate with no moral conscience, with only personal interest of winning the next election & more money & more power & be in office for their life time.
They have to hang their heads in shame for the comments they are making. Well they don't what shame is (read indian politicians)
Personally i feel Dr.Kalam should leave the company of Jokers as he still had to approve the bill what these bunch of idiots did. He should also know that there is no hope for this country whatsoever. Being an optimist all his life if given an another term he will become a utter pessimist and would hate the country the way we do.

1. We know that from Mr Mukherjee's comment it is evident that if Mrs Patil is elected as President by these the UPA, Left political parties, she will hardly be the President of people of India.
She will be the President of the UPA, Left political parties of India that we the people of India elected.
We are not against a woman President. We would like one with a clean record and no bag-age, not a supporter of the obnoxious Emergency.
We understand governorships being doled out to party has-beens, but the Presidentship must go to an unbiased, non aligned person.
2. We do not support Shekhavat as he is a 4th Std. pass, 82 year old gentleman unsuitable for Presidentship. You will not even appoint a 4th Std. pass Peon in your office, would you?
3. Without a shred of doubt and despite his age, Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was the overwhelming choice of the people of India. But he has been hurt and wounded by to the machinations and manipulations of the wily politicians.

4. Why should there NOT be retirement age of 70 in politics to give impetus to young talent, since over 60% people of India are below 35?

You know, of course that: -- the Presidential Elections are violative of articles 14, 21, 54, 55(3), 58, 71(3) and 324 of the Constitution of India. -- Issuing whip to vote a particular candidate is an offense u/s sections 171C and 171F of the IPC. -- Under Article 53 of the Constitution, the President of India is the Executive Head of India & his Election cant become Selection. -- That issuing of Whip in favour of a particular candidate should be prohibited in the Presidential Elections thro a Writ of Prohibition. -- Rules made u/s 5B(a) and 5C(1) of the Presidential and Vice Presidential Election Act 1952 are ultra vires to the Constitution. -- According to article 58(b) the President should be 35 years and above (the entry point). But usually they are beyond 70 (the exist point) All this, therefore, also suggests retirement at 70 to politicians so that meritorious young people can prove their worth
6. If our representatives do not reflect the opinion of India, who will? They were elected BY the people, FOR the people and they ought to representatives OF of the people. Shouldn't they?
7. Shekhavat has absolutely no chance and we need to defeat Pratibha Patil for supporting Emergency.

Ms Bhatt, you are not partisan, are you? You must urge and encourage each member of electoral college to exercise her/his choice freely without politicizing the highest office in the land.
So write accordingly -- please -- so that the voice and views of the people of India ring loud and clear in their heads. These so called elected MPs and MLAs are expected to vote as per their conscience and commitment to the people of India who do not want the highest chair of honour to be vulnerable to corruption.

It is very sad to see the drama played by all parties especially by Congress in Presidential Electtions.. For them their own party and Personal Intrests are prior when compared to National Intrests. We are going to get a President who hides her brothers for law and order and a Person who cheated public around Rs 17 Crores . Oh God ... Please save my country from these brutes...........
in my opinion Narendra Modi is the best candidate for President having full powers of Prime Minister.
and you see he will make India best country in the world as he has made Gujrat best state of India.

I agree. He will make a good president, but not now. He is very active and can contribute a lot to Gujarat and aspirations of hindus all over India. He must not be put in the top post as all the media and politicians will continuously bad mouth him. Even the BJP is not defending from the unfair assault of the media and from its own members.
The problem is that the education policies are also dependent on these filthy politicians. If they wanted all the people of this country to be educated they could have completed this task long back. They want to exploit people so they dont want them to get education otherwise how they can continue their game of cast/creed and religion.
Its all in the numbers...if you have read the article I am sure you will agree with me. The value of vote in this country of a political guru or for that matter any educated person is equivalent to anyone who can take 100/- and vote for his own patron. Politicians want the people of this country to be poor and uneducated so that can play with the numbers.
