The voting for president is not going to be easy this time. In the first place affinities of region and caste etc play its part in politics. Next there are inherent contradictions in the political parties them selves. This election could change the way India will elect its next president!1
With reference to 'reported' advise by the Bangali Mukherjee (I think he is a minister in UPA) to the maybe soon-to-be President of India, that People of India have no part to play to elect the SUPREME COMMANDER OF INDIA and that only the elected representatives (Goons) have a right, it will be necessary to look at our Constitution and Define DEMOCRACY.
It is also time for our Armed Forces to take a look at our Constitution and make proper ammendments in the constitution so that the Supreme Commander India is not a Toy in the Hands of these Indian and Mafiosa Goons.
Is there a person of Musharraf Calibre in our Forces? If so this is the best chance for him to take over. Our country needs a Dictator.

We wish that we, the common people had votes to elect the President. It's sad that the stupid idots - Mp's & MLA's have the right to vote and select the President. Who is Pratibha Patil? No one knows her as well as her credentials. It's sad that UPA alliance have to prop up some one who is unheard of in India. I do not understand why not Dr. APJ cannot be given a second term? Because he returned the OBC quota bill? Or is it because he came in between some Union Minister?

In fact APJ Kalam held discussions with top legal and judicial experts. Besides obtaining their views he personally studied the bill. I dont think any other President would have such courage.

Large members of poitical parties who are actually leaders of their caste and clan becuse essentially that is the plank on which they got elected in the first place.When it comes to voting they will go by their thinbking on national issues by their caste as well or the nearest to it.Thus all yadavs will vote for Kshatriya and same will happen to the rest . In this case you can not have a presdential candidate who is a mixture of castes and so the congress will get votes from Rajasthan/ Maharashtra and possibly MP or Bihar and even from likes of Rajnath singh / amar singh Friends . No more!! Those who have been tortured by the thought of too much dominance of north India in National poilitics will vote for any decent looking man/ woman from South. As far as Mayawati is concerned she shoukld not forget that she came to power on Anti congress anti BJP plank.Her clan of SC/ST has judged taken to Buddhism in maharashtra. Her people and her party is not going to vote for congress at all! Whatever is the result it is plain and simple that this will be last election of the president thru indirect route.People of India do not want this type of thing any more. Next will be direct Election of the President!!
why not kalaam...if not kalaam...why not shekhawat....if sonia...says she is mpowering woman by making Mrs Patil president...why didnt she herself set the example..why she rejected PM-seat..just to show that she is the Goddess of sacrifice?
