Abolish President's post
by SHREERAM BHAT on Jun 22, 2007 03:36 PM  Permalink

The presidential elctions have become a mockery. The politicians only want a rubber stamp President who can even clean the sweep the floor if PM desires(as Zail Singh had said). Dr. Kalam would ask inconvenient questions. So instead of wasting Taxpayer's money on a rubber stamp President the post should be abolished. The Supreme court will safeguard common man's interests

Kalam Re-elected?!!
by jaison mulerickal on Jun 22, 2007 03:35 PM  Permalink

I respect Kalam for giving India a great dream... I was in a team to reach out around a million 2 students to share the dream of a "Developed India 2020" through 20 stage shows from one end of Kerala to the other covering 40 schools. I share his dream.

But, now I doubt.. Is he elevate himself to the standards set by himself. On what reasons he wants to be re-elected as the Prez of India?...Will it be a hard earned fruit? His contributions as a scients are acknoledged. But we got too many scientists of his caliber or higher? They haven't been made president. So, why do he want to become (at least expressing a half consent) to become Prez for second term. Even our first Presidents who suffered lot for freedom didn't have that honour. Then why he?

Wasn't graceful for him to decline the temptation of a second term at the very beginning...

We need a great inspirer.. he can also be an ex-president.

"What is in store for the Country (India) - Shikhandi (PM), Chamcha (President), Ruler (Foreigner)"

Should not we pause and give a thought to the coming time ?

May the Almighty God enlighten the countrymen and specially politician in power (with voting rights) to see through their future in their action.

How can Kalam still make it?
by on Jun 22, 2007 03:34 PM  Permalink

Can't the press build a nation-wide agitiation for a need to vote individually, outside party lines? The press should join together to create so much noise that Sonia Gandhi herself should go vote for Kalam. This can become a possibility if the Congress begins to believe that Kalam's loss would become Congress's loss in the next Loksabha election. Come on guys in the press do something.

INDIAN POLITICS
by santosh mourya on Jun 22, 2007 03:33 PM  Permalink

The india got independence but accepting independence has became dangerous by our politics.
We have such a good PM AND CM The Prime minister is not a fool he is economist who has laid his Managigng Committe after independence how to develop our nation (India) and on that strategi india was developing. We have a Prime Minister who is well educated. What all un-educated minister know, they know nothing only a stupid thing to win there election and seat. The President (A MISSILE MAN) is one of the strongest and talanted person he can sue any body but this foolish indian politician dosen't know any thing instead of the day of retirement of president period.
We people have the right what to do with these politician . Lets wake and throw away these stupid politician leader and bless our india mother with a good leader.

What gret did he do, which he will in the future if re-elected? Why didn't he do it in 1st term then?

Its better he complets his term & retire gracefully.
