politicians are dumb headed. They understand with whom they can can make their money. Sonia is opposing abdul because he spoiled her chance of becoming PM. So a set of scoundrels are deciding the fate of nation. If indians have respect they should fight against sonia personal ambitions and vote abdul.
Get your facts right. It is the elected representatives who elect the President and not Sonia Gandhi. Secondly the current President Dr. Abdul Kalam did not oppose Sonia. It was her personal decision owing to the pressure tactics of other parties like BJP, Shiv Sena, etc.
What is wrong with you people. What makes you think that Pratibhatai Patil wont be as good as Dr. Kalam. Dont you people want a lady to ascend to the Presidential Chair. Why this bais against ladies. Remember your mother, sister, wife and all your lady relatives belong to the Feminine Gender. Hence, let us give Ms. Patil a change. Surely she cannot be worse than our present lot of politicians.

Election of the president is not to be on party lines. Each member of electoral college should exercise his choice freely. By politicizing the issue, Sonia is playing a dirty game. President should be a non aligned personand he is to act in unbiased manner. By proposing a candidate of their choice, UPA parties are commiting a fraud on the constitution.

It is bad luck that the politics has not matured in our country so far even after 60 years of independence. Our politicians are getting elected on divisive forces, instead of national interests.May be, our constitution needs amendment.
You are absolutely right. Which other country has reservations along caste lines like we do. Our constitution guarantees equality. But it seems that the Politicians have created more equals by giving reservations. Can't they just let us live like Indians and not of people of any castes.
