Dr Singh's Daughter
by t rajmanohar on Jun 22, 2007 05:26 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think Amrit Singh should not be so harsh on George Bush. US is probably the only country helping India economically and in its fight against terror. While fighting terrorism one cannot adopt humane methods. YOu have to be tough or else we cannot control terrorism.
Regards
Rajmanohar

Agree with you...

US economy is based on weaponey and oil.

Please give a thought on this how come an Indian or a Bangladeshi farmer is earning less than a doller is still not competative about American or europian product.

Wake up people. US is living out of thrid world nations money. They decide on oil prices, they decide exchange rates..

thus we are all paying for their wars.. .

PM's daughter is right.

How does it matter that Dr.Singh's daughter is practising in the US? She probably started working abroad much before he became the PM.
If she would be working in India, then people would say that she's being favored becos her dad's a politician.

The most important thing is that she is what she is on the basis of her own merit and abilities - where she is working is immaterial.

About her principals and anti-Bush stance, I support it totally. If others don't agree with her views, that's fine as well - everyone has the right to their opinions.

2. Golda Meir: Father emigrated to the United States, 1906..a.k.a opportunity without her own effort.....

3. Indira Gandhi: Father J.L.Nehru, First PM of India, President of INC many times...

I think this lady will better serve the cause of humanity by fighting for women in Islamic countries and within America/UK itself where muslim women live under the threat of honour killings. She won't do that bcauz that would be end of Dr Singh's daughter and his votebank in India ! Instead she fights for scumbags getting tortured...

It does matter to millions of Indian's who look towards their leaders n their ways.
If she had worked in India she would never go against her father's government(as she is doing in US) even there are lots n lots of people getting burned down in India.
Se suddenly see's equality liberty n all the free world things only in US not in India
She is what she is because of her own merit and abilities it does matter where she is working if it was India she might have merit and abilities but she might not get the same status as she enjoys in US.
About her anti Bush Stance i DONT SUPPORT it. only a ignorant who thinks freedom came freely will do that.

Country's Prime Ministers daughter cannot find a job in the country
by sivajibhai on Jun 22, 2007 05:10 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

My question is what is the country's prime ministers daughter doing in a foriegn country. Does she not have any opportunties in the land of her father who is the prime minister of that land. If the Prime ministers daugther does not have any opportunities here what about other lesser fortunate people in this country. Shame on the Prime Minister and the entire political class of this country. What example are they setting for the people. Gas Chamber them is my dictat. Sooner of later it is going to happen.

Why should the PM's daughter have special 'oppurtunities' in India? People like you think that power is everything and it is you people who perpetrate the notion that politicians and people in power should be given oppurtunities!!!! Dr.Singh's daughter is a thorough professional who has toiled in a foreign country to reach the stage that she is in now. But the fact that she chooses to serve a foreign country is part of the unfortunate brain drain that we have been suffering since many decades. That is a different story altogether.

The point is that it is very irresponsible on your part to say "if the PM's daughter doesnt have...."

You have not read through my lines properly. You need to understand what I am trying to say. Brain drain today is because of the SC ST OBC leadership that we have today and the reservation policy which has been there since 60 years. It has got nothing to Manmohans daughter going abroad.

You read your lines properly!!!! You dont even know what you want to say!
The brain drain is NOT primarily because of SC/ST/OBC quotas. It is because of the "dollars" and the "challenging job profile" and "lack of determination" to stay in one's own country to turn around the fortunes of a developing country.
You were only trying to say that if having a PM for a father doesnt help one, what else can.
And this kind of attitude of the people like you, which holds our nation back and let it remain in the ruts forever...
