We miss you President Dr.A.P.J.Kalam, we love you as our people president.
Congress, left , NCP and other parties who opposed kalam second term, could not read the pulse of the people. This will have negative impact on their vote bank. Never before Indian public involved so much for the president election.
Its not too late wake up politicans across parties, region and caste.
Dear Friends I have just filed a petition in petitiononline.com requesting people not to support congress for the next election. Kindly support it. I dont belong to congress or BJP or anyother politican party. I got frustrated becoz sonia never respected people's wish. We need to show our power to the congress government before Dr.APJ steps down from the post

MR.VIJAYAKUMAR,
YOUR PETITION LOOKS UTTERLY SILLY AND LACKS SENSE. PLEASE ANSWR THE FOLLOWING: 1)ON WHAT BASIS ARE YOU SAYING THAT KALAM IS PEOPLE'S CHOICE? 2) WHAT DID KALAM ACHIEVE IN HIS FIRST TERM AS THE PRESIDENT TO DESERVE THE SECOND TERM?

What do you mean by acheiving in the First Term. You mean that he is not like Gnani Jail singh who blindly supported Indira Gandhi. or he had returned the bills which are not proper.... What Prathiba is going to achevie in your terms. Come on man accept the reality.. Right now we want persons like APJ Kalam ... not Dump PM & Remote Control Presidents....

Launch a party for Change to elect the president Directly. A PIL could do this. I believe 90% Indians will support change for the better. We owe it to our next generation. Irrespective of the out come there is no going back now that you have seen the political game plan. We will all back you or any one who comes forward to do it.

Agreed with your comments for Kalam, but remember he has still held the verdict against the Most Wanted Terrorist Afzal Guru. This has somewhat hurt my feelings as an Indian...otherwise Kalam is really gr8.

Kalam's stand on capital punishment is not clear. If is he is not for it then he should quit presidency. Nevertheless, in Afzal's case we have UPA to blame. The stand of Mufti, the fence sitter, is well known . We also have to credit the media and people like Arundati Roy for having made a hero out of Afzal and if executed they will ensure he becomes a hero & a martyr.

now, nothing can be done Mahesh.. I wish he comes and settle in my home town..May be I will have a chance to interact with him one day..
this is very unfortunate to indian history of politics that a common man's choice is neglect by the politicians, it seem very bad when it happens in such a largest democratic country. how can we say that this is rule of public. virender bhatt veerush@rediffmail.com

APJ is already old. He should retire.. Who replaces him is an another question. I also dont agree to pratibha's candidature. But I really like Shekawat's attitued.
I dont understand, why he agreed to contest, when he knows the ruling government and the opposition have their own candidatures.. Probably, the desire to hang in got up with him too. Having said that, He will remian as the people president and hope he continues to inspire all of us..

He set a few conditions for contesting again. These conditions, he knew cannot be met. It was a sort of very polite rebuff to the third front.

I dont agree with you. APJ kalam did not honoured by the post, but the post was honoured. Its time for him to move on.. But one thing I was disappoined with him, his saying yes to Jayalalitha's support of his candidature, even though he knows the government does not support it.
