Lalu or Sharad pawar can't decide who is going to be next Rashtrapati. They are not eligible for that. They are Opportunists like DMK, PDMK parties. Today they support Congress and tomorrow they hate Congress.
The current political scenario over election of the president is an indication of suppression of the masses and democracy as a whole. If you take the opinion of the common man, there is no doubt that he would like Mr.Kalam to get re-elected. This is a misuse of power by UPA and a flaw in our Election system
Dear Friends I have filed a petition in petitiononline.com requesting people not to support congress for the next election. Kindly support it. I dont belong to congress or BJP or anyother politican party. I got frustrated becoz sonia never respected people's wish. We need to show our power to the congress government before Dr.APJ steps down from the post

In the coming LS elections, all should go for executing 49-O option while voting. Congress has proved that its useless and same with other parties who didnt oppose things like Reservation, Pratibha's candidature etc etc

yes raja he may do that....i donno y the people of our country r still ignorant of the fact that no politician is fit to rule the country.every party n poilitian is corrupt now.i would request everyone to opt for the 49-o option so that v can bring in presidential rule n then v can elect APJ Kalam.

Ya! Kalam should step down because he is a very decent person to fall into the imbroglio of dirty politics. He made a wise decision by not contesting for the post. The politics of our country doesn't approve a person with clean chit and the one who doesn't have any hassels. Instead we are more content in having someone who along with his/her family members would live life like a king-size in that magnificient Rashtrapati Bhavan in the expense of our govt. and taxpayers, A la (Deve Gowda and his clan when the former became the chief minister) Top of it someone who is not clean at all. So be it!
Mr Abdul Kalam along with some very decent people, like Mr Narayana Murthy, Mr. T N Seshan, Mr Ribeiro Ex Mumbai police chief plus few Retired Judges of the Supreme court, must start an organisation to tackle CORRUPTION on a war footing...
THIS THE CANCER THAT IS GOING TO BLEED INDIA FOR 100s OF YEARS OTHERWISE.
Only a concerted effort at this stage can stem the rot.
If ordinary citizens are willing to take up the fight, why not these very prominent citizens, who are well respected and have the trust of the people of India.
In view of the happenings recently, it is better Mr. Kalam gracefully leave office. If Nitizens are the 'people' of India, yes Mr. Kalam has a huge following. But the fact is Nitizens are generally those who are dumb when it comes to taking real tough decisions. Let us through our representatives - MPs and MLAs - select our President. Let us not make life of respectable Mr. Kalam miserable by suggesting him to go for conscience vote. Let him lead a good retired life - best of luck to him. Let us leave to the common people to decide whether he was a People's Prez or not.
