Following divide and rule policy
by Rajeev Vishnoi on Jun 22, 2007 04:40 PM  Permalink

Most of the time congress was in the power, but still they are saying they want do to for women and minority. How long they will say same quotations. Why congress did not pass women reservation bill and how long they will wait for it.
They are making us fool and following divide and rule policy, which they learnt from British.
Now people has to understand this.

should Mr. Kalam contest election for 2nd term of Presidency
by pramod vashist on Jun 22, 2007 04:33 PM  Permalink

The opinion of the masses (the general public) is changing with the changing time, as seen in the last three days on this discussion board.

However, we don't realize that we are just wasting time by discussing & giving opinions, when it is not needed by anybody. Is any respectable 'Politician' reading this, if yes, then please do something to honor the public feelings.

If Mr. Kalam is himself reading it, I'm sure being an honest 1st Citizen of India, he himself will not agree to contest for 2nd term.

Mr. Kalam, you are right, no point in contesting for 2nd term if the winning is not certain. You have ample respect amongst the masses, no need to earn more. You can still do something benefiacial to India, even without the post of 'President'.

He must fight elections.
by ratnesh srivastav on Jun 22, 2007 04:25 PM  Permalink

He must fight elections so that next timepoliticians will not be able to give excuse that Kalam didnot contest else he would have been elected.

Those who shall plot to defeat him shall be defeated by Indian public.

Should Pratibha Patil files nomination paper for presidency poll
by Rajeev Vishnoi on Jun 22, 2007 04:22 PM  Permalink

Just like Rediff put article What should President Kalam do%u2026 same way they have to publish some articles related to UPA-Left candidate Pratibha Patil, that she should not file nomination paper for presidency poll in favor of Dr. A P J Kalam.
I think all media should ask this question to common people and in the basis of response Pratibha Pati should take any decision.

Kalam shud resign
by cryztal on Jun 22, 2007 03:48 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Kalaam should step down graciously and infact come out in support of a woman candidate. Just because she is supported by congress doesnt mean that her credentials are not good. She has a clean record and has risen without being part of any dirty politics or politician.

Kalam an Idiot?
by Fauji on Jun 22, 2007 03:46 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I was an ardent supporter of Dr. Kalam. Am I now? I doubt. A statement like he would fight the election if victory is a certainity, shows that at this age, he has lost or is loosing his wisdom. If certainity ruled, there would not have been any need for election. It is the uncertainty which results in an election, in a fight.

Just wonder the allegation that came up five years back that Dr. Kalam run a motor in reverse mode for some application and claimed it as an invention! God knows.

Do not form your opinion on allegations! Do it on facts. You should read his book INDIA 2020.

Please withdraw your opinion asap. You are really not understanding the feelings of Mr. Kalam. He opted to risk by prefering to contest (if there is certainty) only in the interest of the nation. In order to not to hurt the feelings and emotions of millions of Indians, he took the decision to continue for 2nd term provided there is consensus/certainty. But, it was because of foolish and bullish act of UPA and dirty politicians, we are not able to keep up the true democratic system.
