Prez. of UPA a joke
by Sankaranarayanan Doraiswamy on Jun 20, 2007 03:40 AM  Permalink

In one english daily it siad that Jayalal saying Patel standing for Prez. is a joke. What is wrong in this statement . All the political leaders say this at one time or other. Soniaji also joked wilth the MPs nos. One Congress MLA of TN said about the opposition that they are all rejected leaders. Why, Soniaji also a rejected leader in the Parliament with less than one third member and she lost the election in UP even with Rahul in the front. This is nothing compared to the one meted out to Jayalalitha by the DMK members in TN assembly earlier. How can the Congress a national party say that Patil is a Maharashtrian and all Maharashtra members to vote for her. What has our DMK chief say about this. Because Patil is a Maharashtrian Sivan ssena also is thinking of supporting Patel!
DMK say secular Tamilian etc and Kalam is a Tamilian and a minority why cant he support Kalam like the congress asking for Maharashtra to vote for Maharashtrian int e Prez. election. DMK cheif is intersted only the power chair for his family members only and not for other tamilians. Example Maran was thrown out from the cabinet with the help of Italian Madom Soniaji

You got the age wrong or the experience. The other day I read that he became 84 this month. SO if he has 88 years of experience he started even before he was conceived.

Save INDIA!
by samrat on Jun 20, 2007 12:23 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

When the Congress won the election, Sonia was expected to be the prime minister of India and she was also so keen to become the PM of india, but when she came out of the Raj bhavan after meeting Abdul Kalam to form government, she dropped her idea of becoming the Prime minister (may be some confidential discussion was happend regarding her origin and our countires
security concerns) and made Manmohan as the PM. So, here Abdul Kalam is the constraint for her to become the PM of india.

Thats why she picked Prathiba Patil (innocent and not clever lady) as the Presidential candidate and if prathiba was elected,
then there will be no constraint for Sonia to become the Prime minister of India. It is an Italian game.

If Sonia become the Prime minister then we will be under the rule of a foreigner once again after 1947. Then what is the use of the fightings that our grand fathers fought for the freedom of India, it is to kick the foreigner from India from ruling us.

If we allow Sonia to become the Prime minister then what will be answers for the great souls who laid their lives for the freedom struggle and what is gurantee that this lady will not betray us and sell our defence secrets to any foreign countries?

My dear citizens please this is something we need to think, this is not the Presidential election, but this is the election through which Sonia will become the Prime minister and think of our freedom struggle, think of our countrie's security, our fame etc....le

Dear Samrat,

No one is going to listen, at least not those who ought to or those who can make a difference and change things in the right direction. Teh Congress which is supposed to have fought for India's freedom is today fighting for India's subjugation, who can help Bharat Mata in this sorry state of affairs? Only we the commnon citizens, by ensuring that none of the current set of people come to power and we have a brand new set of people who are honest, integral and love their nation before they love themselves. Most people today profess love for the nation because that is an easy way to loot the motherland without being the cynosure of all eyes, and the bonus in being a looter is that you are bestowed (can snatch) the power required to do all your misdeeds by the nation itself.

by abhishek dwivedi on Jun 19, 2007 08:40 PM  Permalink

If there be a poll in public I am sure APJ Abdul Kalam will win for President again. But these political parties(specially Congress) are playing the game. What a pity.In democracy, we(public) are being mere spectator.

Its repeat of Presidential Elections in 1969 in a different way.
by Aditya Datar on Jun 19, 2007 07:09 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If you remember history, in the Presidential elections in 1969, it was the official candidate of the congress Neelam Sanjeevva Reddy whome Mrs Indira Gandhis had put up, was defeated by Mr V.V. Giri who was the opposition parties candidate.

Even at that time the Left had backed Mrs Indira Gandhi and her candidate Mr Neelam Sanjeev Reddy, and still he had lost the elections to Mr V.V. Giri due to cross voting..!!!

This time its the most popular President of India in over a half century , being targetted because he does not subscribe to the leftist school of thought. The Same left which justified the chinese agression on India, the same left which opposes any progress Indians and India makes, and the same left which opposes anyone who is a person of faith and religion.

Mr Bhairo Singh Shekhawat, you have everybodys respect now, after you made this statement of support to Mr A.P.J Abdul Kalam.

Let all parties come forward to support Sr A.P.J Abdul Kalam as president. He is best for India and he should be given a second chance.

This is the best piece of news I heard this year and Our hopes are bright that Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam will infact get re-elected.

Let there be crossvoting from Congress UPA and allies and Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam get relected for the second term as the President of India.

Absolutely correct.
This is the 1st time that the 3rd front may have done some thing right. It is a shame that in this so called democracy the obvious choice of majority of Indians is ignored- in the silly names of women empowerement etc etc. Mrs Patil would have gained tonnes of respect if she would have got up and said - " give me the post if I deserve, not because I am a woman". She didnt, which to me mean that she would be dummy Prez.

Prez Kalam is as best as India can get. He deserves another chance. A humble, honest, visionry person to be thrown out because the Sonias and Karats of India dont like him, is at best, atrocious. But this is what we are.. and this is what we make out of us !

The country loves people like Kalam, but cant do any thing but watch this complete TAMAASHA of the shameless politicians !

There is a big gap between what a person deserves and gets. The country deserves to get a food person as Prez, but thanks to the clutter that has been amassed overs the decades the country and its people are doomed to get what they in no way deserve, the whims and fancies of a few narrow minded people. But for allowing them to slip into the shoes tha=ey are now wearing I suppose this is what we deserve and will get. The common man gets what he deserves due to his fallacies and ignorance, and the self appointed super humans get what they in no way deserve. JAI HIND. MERA BHARAT MAHAN.

Kalam be the President again
by sanjay pani on Jun 19, 2007 06:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its a good gesture on PM 's part . Why not ask Sonia to meet President and persue him not to accept the proposal from 3rd front ,which again is concurred by NDA ..She is playing all nasty tricks and others are there to mend it .The Gandhi title does not fit to her . Gandhi gave out everything to the country . She will take everything from this country like the English did .All parties should work together towards making Kalam the president.

Pm to call on Kalam
by Bodh Ramdeo on Jun 19, 2007 06:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If MMS was so honest, how come he's got criminals like Lalu Prasad in his cabinet? How come he's tolerated the criminal actions of his own Cong govt - by refusing to sanction presecution of Mayawati and the clean chit given to Lalu by his Congress-owned CBI court and all the other illegal and unlawful chicanery and shenanigans of his Cong-Left govt.
Dr Kalam may be honest, but there's not a single filthy neta in this fetid land who comes anywhere close to being honest - none!

People resist change
by VinayBabu Ravuri on Jun 19, 2007 06:17 PM  Permalink

It's all true again that even though change is a natural process... people resist it especially we Indians cannot handle it. President Kalam is a great person but it's a pity that people are maligning Mrs Patil for it. Obviously what President Kalam has told all these years have gone to drains for people who are spreading hatred. He wanted to send flowers using his nuclear missile. The story of Pratibha Patil is of a great struggle and she deserves no abuse.

Dear Prime Minister,
There are only two honest and incorruptible public figures in India. One- YOU and the second one is Our greatest President of all times, DR.KALAM. Then only you will be remebered as a true statesman. This is the request one billion Indians. You saved India during 1991-96. We want you to do again in 2007.
