None of India\'s neighbours are forced or interfered in their day to day operations... its only when our one neighbour, named Pakistan, starts using others\' territories to promote its terrorism related activities, we have to start putting checks on all these smaller, but otherwise friendly neighbours. We know how to protect our boundaries and how to deal with brutes.

Army rules Pak
by sg sg on Jun 20, 2007 10:41 AM  Permalink

As much as the guest wrote that democracy wil return in Pak, its not hand but immposible when you have a clear set of forces who are against any democracy being established in Pak. And tat is te army, they will want to rule either directly or indirectly. They and the ISI will never give up the stance against India, so what the people of Pak want may be wishful thinking. Its not happening ever.

Point to ponder
by Lohith on Jun 20, 2007 10:29 AM  Permalink

I dont give a damn who is the leader, coz anyway pak and its ppl can never improve..

But matter is, when rediff.com can have paki ppl as its columnists, I am sure its the paki agents again who are trying to split up India by publishing controversial columns in Rediff based on North, south, marathis etc.. watch out ppl..there is something fishy going on in Rediff..

Democacy in Pakistan is all bakwas
by Anurag Shrivastava on Jun 20, 2007 10:25 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Pakistan needs a stronger military strongman to ensure it does not slide into fundamentalism and enforce the role of the secular civil scoiety. Democracy in Pakistan will only bring fundamentalists and crooks to power like in Iran or Turkey - someone like Nawaz Sharif is a mix of both - appeasement of Islamic fundamentalists and corrupt oligarchy. Benazir Bhutto is a nobody.
