I would suggest NDA to field APJ Abdul Kalam as the presidential candidate, if they really think he rightly deserve to be the President again.

Mr Kalam himslef does not want to continue with the present ruling class, hence he said, ( sarcastically) Ms Patil's candidature as 'fantastic'

President should not be a rober stamp. He should filled with wisdom. He must have guts to protest. then only he should proceed for the highest office. Respected Kalam has opened the eyes of polity & the importance of Office, we should not loose it.He or She does not makes any difference.

Prez elections

In any case how does it matter!
The nation is the looser in the whole episode.
We will have to stay put, tolerate and pay the price for electing such an electorate.

Wah India....
by Ajay Pandita on Jun 18, 2007 12:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

NDA is a party of intellectuals who don't believe in Cheap games like Congress does dividing people with respect to their castes, color, and religion...

Regardless fo deserving candidate, a candidate has been fielded because of its roots as a person of a particular community and being a woman. All meant for just political gains. This is proved when, after being nominated, name gets changed.

We Indians will never learn from what is happenning in our political circles, they play are playing with people and Country and we are mere spectators....and keep on fighting in the blogs...hahaha

i think NDA should field Nazma Heputtala instead mr. shekawat as the situation demands, she can garner some support fron UPA, and will give a strong fight to mrs patil.

Fortunately NDA will not play dirty Caste/Religious politics and change their candidates every other day as UPA did.

When Samajwadi party indirectly support UPA beacuse of fear of Mulsim vote it is secular politics and when NDA field a statesman like Mr.Shekhawat it is communalism.

Are we bunch of idiots reading and analysing these?

SHEKHAWAT VS SHEKAWAT BAHU
by s k mutreja on Jun 18, 2007 12:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This seems really interesting. I my personal opinion that I had formed I started believing that there was an end to the elections as the UPA Prez candidate now seemed one side won on account of SP apparent decision to abstain. But what's going inside UPA is still a suspense but what is going on inside NDA is open and it seems NDA is in a bad shape. But we really donot know what is in the minds of the worthy voters (the politicians).

I beleive , It would have been much better a option for NDA to Support Madam Shekhawat instead of Mr. Shekhawat .... Since for NDA it seems "NOT THIS TIME".
