Pratibha's candidature Part II
by Ramsay James on Jun 17, 2007 11:01 AM  Permalink

Continued from message part I
Pratibha ji is also a born Maratha Patil & so would prefer & excel in Guerilla tactics . Once she finds her feet as President, her real tough face will be revealed. Consequently Sonia will be a far sadder & wiser person, but by then it would be too late. Let us mark PP's words that she wont be a rubber stamp President.

Marathas have always believed that the Delhi Sultans detest their people & invariably put obstacles in their way. Even for what other states get utomatically, Marathas have to fight tooth & nail. They have learnt to lie low for some time & raise their fangs @ the first favorable opportunity.
The Bhasmasura is bound to keep his hand on the head of his own creator, sooner or later & burn the latter down..
Beware Congressies ! Your faith that PP will be your Rubber Stamp will soon prove to be a Mirage.

Pratibha patil as prez
by Ramsay James on Jun 17, 2007 11:00 AM  Permalink

Dr APJ Abdul kalam saab is leaving behind him a Gap in Rashtrapati Bhavan which he alone could fill. Certainly NOT Mrs Patil.

Sonia's gamble to label PPatil's candidature as a new Era heralded by her in the Indian polity has fooled none, since this name came up only as a compromise & LAST RESORT. "Fissal padey toh Har Har gangey !"

Being an alien, Sonia wont be familiar with the ageold Maratha strategy of 'Guerilla Warfare', which was adopted successfully by Shivaji & subsequent maratha Generals. They wont fight face to face, but would attack from behind or the side @ unexpected places & times.None of Sonia's advisors (?) are marathas & hence they know little about these Strategies.A few recent examples--

Sharad Pawar was leading the first delegation which went to request Sonia to accept the PM's post . She declined @ that time & PV Narasimha Rao became the PM.
Next time when the issue of selecting the PM arose, Pawar questioned publically as to how a foreignor could lead the nation .Sonia expelled him from the Congress Party .He founded his "Rashtravadi" party to oppose her rise . Another somersault & he joins her Ministry shamelessly. But no Maratha has forgotten , much less forgiven that Sonia has kicked their supreme maratha leader out of Congress.
Another maratha, late shri YB Chavan was initially just a stooge of Morarji Desai . The moment he acquired stability @ Delhi, he openly defied his Mentor.Guerilla Tech again !

Pratibha ji is also a born Maratha Pa

Can anyone tell me what r the disqualifications of Pratibha Patil because i don't know much about her.Whether she is uneducated,Corrupted or part of any controversies.Or lack of administrative experience and skills. Those who r shocked and feels that they r betrayed has the responsibility to explain why they r feeling so.Other wise it is ridiculous to post such comments.

let me explain, for a developing country like India, we need a resident with a great vision, something dynamic, not an plain politian. If PP has those qualities she would have been the PM or at least CM. She may be good, but pleanty of pilitians r there who has this kind of profile, do u think all shaould b made President? President is the Supreme Commander of Forces, representing nation as a whole, identity and personality of the Nation. PP dont have ant of those qualities. Even Sheshan, Kiran Bedi, Sushama Swaraj, Maryanmurthy deserve these posts.

India's Old Face
by Raja Bhattacharya on Jun 17, 2007 10:33 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

India has one of the youngest populations in he world today. But who do we choose as the "face of the nation" -- an old, obscure grandmom, Pratibha Patil! India just doesn't get it right! And we the people stand helpless while politicians like Sonia decide our fate! IT'S A SHAME!

I agree with Raja, yesterday I saw her photo in news paper....She is very old!!!! I don't how she is going to handle the job.

we want to see a young and dynamic personality as President of India.

I completely agree with Raja, she is too old to take that post. It's not a men vs. women factor because I rather it's a fact. What we need as a president is a visionary, dynamic, personality with balanced head on his strong shoulder.

not a good choice
by subir adhikari on Jun 17, 2007 10:06 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The congress has put up this candidate merely for a tacticle purpose, the surname patil/ shekhawat are more important to them than any other consideration under the guise of a woman empowerment. The nation wants Dr.Abdul kalam to get another term but one lady is opposing this, just for the sake of a rubber stamp who will just obey her orders. This is national shame.
