We are still in a state of shock: Pratibha Patil's husband
by ANAND TEERTHA on Jun 17, 2007 03:36 PM  Permalink

Naturally, when non entities and not deserving candidytaes after sycophancy and singing dhun of Sonia, gets a nod people like Mrs.Patil and her family members will be shocked and even may go into coma.Sonia is playing a wicked game along with Commmunists which will unfold sooner or later and then the nation will get biggest shocked of its life time.Had Mrs.Patil left any self respect and grace she should not contest Presidential elections at the back drop of her poor credentials and senility.Unfortunately foreign born lady has PM as her puppet on right side and she may have a puppet on her lefthand. What a shame.Maharashtrians should not take pride in her candidature.Their joy will be shortlived.

Yes , Smt Pratibha as President may show that Indian Republic is for non-elites , too.
by D goel on Jun 17, 2007 02:54 PM  Permalink

PKL. Afternoon 2.40pm.,Sunday , June 17, 2007
In case as is most likely that the electoral college elects Smt Pratibha Patil as the next president to take the Rashtrapatihood from remitting Sri APJ Kalam Sahib on 25th July,it would amongst other things shall show how loyalty to the "First Family "is the hallmark of political Achievement in our Republic.
However, the fact that it shall be equally heartening to many that a wife of a inconspicuous teacher hailing from backward Shekhawati region of Rajasthan ,now instead of being the Rajyapal of the State shall be Rashtra-Adhyaksha playing host to her high and Mighty State-Visitors as the first Citizen of the Indian State. We wish her complete sangfoid
and Serene dignity that was the first preserve of exclusive Royals in earlier period of our civilization.Democracy has moved down with times and even Indraprastha is now opening its portals to commoners; to this humble watchman of India's Destiny this scribe feels elated.D.Goel

Can Pratibha Patil be taken seriously?
by Pawan Singh on Jun 17, 2007 02:54 PM  Permalink

A 72 year old lady who has to be supported and comes with a lacklustre career begs the question. A wise 76 year old who plays tennis regularly and has a lustrous career is the need of the hour. Else these power players who do not hesitate to demean the country in Argentina over Q and sell out to people condemned by the SC like Mayawati will trample all over us.

by toffy on Jun 17, 2007 02:50 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is fine that a women will come forward as a first citizen of our country. politician, economist, union leader, professor,
historian, scientist already taken that position in past. Now,time has come for an active, honest and charismatic bureaucrat to that post. I will be very happy if honorable Mrs. Kiran Bedi is the unanimous choice for the next President post. Do anybody agree with me ?

Yes, your thinking is absolutely correct Toffy. A personality like Kiran Bedi deserves the position of President of India. Everybody knows how honest, idealistic, and strong she is. If she comes into power, the crime and law situation in India will start improving.

Is Sonia trying to be PM again?
by A N Balakrishnan on Jun 17, 2007 02:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congresas always wanted only rubber stamp presidentslike Mr.V.V.Giri. At present fielding a congress personnel could pave way for Soni(ji) to try for Priemiership again.

We do hope that Pratibhaji does not turn out to be a rubber stamp for the Gandhi family.
