NEW DELHI: Several Muslim scholars, social workers and intellectuals on Saturday said that all religions of the world, including Islam, give equal status to women without discrimination.
"There is no discrimination against women in Koran. It is not correct to say that Islam is anti-women. It is some people who give a wrong interpretation of the Koran to exploit the women," Vice President of All India Muslim Personal Law Board Syed Kalb-e-Sadiq said here.
At a function on the occasion of birth anniversary of Hazarat Fatima Zohra, the daughter of Holy Prophet, organised by Iran Culture House, Sadiq said Islam is not against reasoning and justice. "The time has come for proper interpretation of Shariat laws."
Chairperson of Guild of Service V Mohini Giri said there was a need to remove women discriminatory laws from the country.
"We must have a comprehensive women friendly law as soon as possible," she said.

What is the problem with you Gonsalves, from a good news (which is not very common from muslims) you are extracting a hate message. Would you like to read some silly messages for Lord Christ and mother Marry-?
People are right. They should have the rights to decide who should be the mayor of Malegaon MC. It is better to tie up with other opposition parties including Shiv Sena for better administration, since this third front contested election in MMC against Congress Mis Rule. So, any type of alliance with Congress is suicidal and a clear cheating on the public who trusted this third front.

Wish to see muslims from other parts of country to follow Malegaon people and discard such mullahs.
It is preferable for the third front to include Shiva sena, as this alliance will herald a new pattern, and will definitely be more effective in controlling communal divide.
