This was an article about a couple of courageous girls who want to better their lives and are fighting back against obscurantists. Well said friend. Instead of looking at the positive's, where girls from not so priveleged background are fighting it out and lauding their efforts, there are people who are as usual spreading hatred. Its not only the Mohammad Ali's who need to be faught, but a lot others, from all communities. Lets all put away such fights and come together to uplift the society as a whole, without any discrimination. If one does not have any positive to offer, atleast keep silent.

Dear Sargamcola, there are no holy book for atheists or rationalists. These books are exposing the religions for what they are! You cannot counter the arguments of the religious zealots without knowing what is what. Though I do not believe in the dogmas of any religion, I have read the Bible, the Koran, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and parts of vedas and scriptures of other religions to understand what exactly they preach. I have not found any of them even remotely based on science or technology. So all the so-called holy books and the corresponding gods have outlived their utility.
I appreciate the courage shown by samina and zareena. This is the situation faced by many muslim girls these days. The only help we can do for them, wake up the girls who are facing the same situation and fight for their own justice so that you can make some difference in the socity. You also have all the right to live your own life. So take charge of your own situations and make the difference, at least it can be helpfull to your next generation.
He keeps revealing scriptures, sending Prophets and books . Why none of these religious books ever mentioned how internet should be operated or things like that which r useful to humanity???
All useless concepts like heaven and hell, rebirth etc.
All religions r political tools of oppression. See what hindus do their own religionists. See what muslims and christians did to peoples of other religions.
Enough of all these religions, holy books and prophets.I want my country India liberated from this shit called religion.
All you guys spoke so much about religion, law, law makers, breakers etc. Will any one of you today go and help these girls. If all of us who were posting these messages together do something i am sure that we can make an impact- small or big- the thing is will it ever happen?

At a function on the occasion of birth anniversary of Hazarat Fatima Zohra, the daughter of Holy Prophet, organised by Iran Culture House, Sadiq said Islam is not against reasoning and justice. "The time has come for proper interpretation of Shariat laws."
Chairperson of Guild of Service V Mohini Giri said there was a need to remove women discriminatory laws from the country.
"We must have a comprehensive women friendly law as soon as possible," she said.

1.There r 52 Islamic countries. Not one of them is a democracy. 2.The condition of muslims in Islamic countries is Pathetic. Forget what happens about non-muslims and women. 3.More muslims r killed by muslims than by non-muslims.See all these Sunni-Shia clashes in Islamic countries. 4. Do u know what Pakistan Army did to muslims of East Pakistan in 1971-That is what is called genocide. 5. U guys cannot live in harmony with non-muslims nor can u live in harmony among fellow-muslims

My rational indian friend, what did the hindus do to the muslims pre partition era was also very horrendous. what the hindus did to the muslims in the gujarat riots and god knows how many other ones were also BAD. we do inner rifts with our fellow muslim brothers but that doesnt mean tht we cant live with them and others as well.. extremists hindus killed Gandhi because Gandhi wanted Muslims and hindus to live together.

Fine we take your words that hindus r bad people and muslims r the most perfect people in the world.Then what happened to Pakistan?????? Bengali Muslims and Punjabi muslims could not live together. Do u know the scale of massacre of Bengali muslims that your(Pakistani) muslim soldiers killed? That Gujarat riots were nothing as compared to that. Did Indian hindus demand that they should be given a separate country or Indian muslims demand that they be a given separate country??? Just google and see the number of muslims massacred by muslims In Sunni-Shia clashes daily. Get educated. Read other things apart from your Quran and Hadith and merits of camel-piss.

You can use it to kill OR for other useful purposes.
A lot of people are decrying a lot of religions. A religion (any religion) is a way of life and no religion fundamentally endorses taking another life (which is not that of a soldier in a declared war - jihad does NOT mean killing innocents). Similarly no religion is ok with treating women as objects - they defined roles (mother, wife etc) which were fine in the day and age when the books were written. It is the responsibility of the religious leaders of today to INTERPRET THE TEACHINGS properly. It is our duty to force them to do so.
This approach is the only way to grow together and not end up killing each other off.
