This shows the fear of you ,. There is no point here talking of this, no person has written any thing on other religion here. All are Hindus and discussing about their own religion( a healthy discussion).
This guy is in frustration. Calm down dude, take a nap.
I do not see any reason why there should be a caste based seperation, while god is one. Moreover, nowhere in our scriptures it says that no one other than hindu have right to pray in temples. I am of the opinion that in this changing world and looking forward to a democratic world such practices should be immediately stopped, so that there is a better acceptance of any religion amongst mankind. Religion to me is just a teaching to mankind, of various issue / characters etc. faced in one's life. So why not, Kerala being most literate state work towards by bringing mankind under one umbrella. Dividing people will only ruin India's advancement. Pls. do not misunderstand my statement, i believe in good which is god and bad which is evil. To me god exist in oneself, it's usage depends upon that individual's intention.

There is no caste based restrictions here and dont try to mislead the readers. If it has a norm to restrict other religious people from visiting the the temple let it be. Please keep your pragmatic religious talk to yourself as no other religious followers have this. Please refrain from secular talks as its only doing damage to my religion because we fools are only Secular and others were / are never.

if it is not cast based tomorrow you will stand in que to perform the duties of poojari. hinduism should be cast based only. if other cast doesnt like it go to hell god itself has already rejected you and not given permission to enter in side the temple.
I dont think any purification is required, and even if done so, it can be done in a quiet manner. It would be best if we do not allow non Hindus to the shrine as the allowing of non Hindus creates the problem. Not allowing Smt. Indira Gandhi was the best decision. Also it would be best if ministers who are responsible persons pray from outside or pray to the image of the deity at home if they are so devoted to the deity. It is the ministers sacred responsibility not to create public tensions and not to hurt religious sentiments.
Hinduism is most secular religion. Indian Christians dont accept prasad or have regards for other religion. Muslims are known to be rigid and fundamentalist. But foolosh hindus go to church visit dargahs. People are not fools to go by prpopganda of pseudo seculas

There is only God and nothing else. This is what Advaita (Absolute monism ) preaches which monotheistic religions won't understand.

Then I suppose you are not a Hindu if you do not beleive in polytheism like worshipping of gods like elephant, snake, mouse, water(ganga), trees (tulsi) and the list is endless.
Well said by the Zamorin, the elderly, experienced man. Everyone is trying to say something or the other resulting in the matter being precipitated. Let there not be too much of interferences and attacks on Hindu temples by the politicians or vested interests. Many have asked, can the same be done to a church or a mosque. Let not Hinduism be degraded by people to please some for vote bank politics.
As suggested by the Zamorin, if the Priests, Seers come together and decide on this, it will be better. Hopefully the secularists would keep quiet then.
This news given me a shock, not because of the controvorcy. Only because the present raja is staying at a rented house. Rulers like "samutiripad" did lot of good things for kerala, most of the kerala was ruled by them. how come the king is staying at rented house. is he in that condition?

It is unfortunate politics and misuse of freedom of speech dominated or polluted the divine atmosphere at krishna temple. courts and committes cannot understand the essence of religion. they protect their own interests.

just because the properties of Samutiris and Kolathiris were taken over by the communist government when it came to power...The Maharaja's of yester years who were very famous in their governance and charities, became beggers of today....and the people who received the charities from those Maharajas are the politicians and ministers of the State
The question was not properly framed. You have rightly misunderstood it.
That was not my intention.
What I meant was: these days everyone says that the upper castes oppressed the lower castes, denied them opportunities, education and wealth and grew rich at their expense. If that is the case, why is the king poor? Did he not oppress the lower castes? That was my question. I hope it is clear now.
I am thankful to rediff for bringing the views of Zamorin Raja of Calicut on the Temple controversy. After all his should have been the final word, if the controversy took place a few decades back. It is quite sad to know that he is residing at a rental accommodation. Our so called democracy should have taken care of the erstwhile kings like him in a better way ! We should remember we are here mainly because of their forefathers !!!

He is living in a rented house and the Govt is unable to take care of the ex-King because, we don't have money to spare after providing palatial houses for the politicians in Delhi, after giving them z, z category security support. This is India, my friend.

not like that. They are a dynasty who have done much good work than the stupid politicians. Of course, they lived on taxes from people. But they did GOOD WORK. What are politicians going now? doing hard work to earn money or what??? The kings are better off than politicians.
People should be concerned with their worship of Lord Krishna, other rumours should not be spread around. Devotees are thronging the temple to mitigate their mental sufferings, these controversies have no place to ponder over. It is the earnest desire of ardent devotees that none should intgerfere the day to day management system of the temple.

erm... excuse me mr K Joshi, but Guruvayoor temple is home to Sri Guruvayoorappan.. one of the 10 avatars of Lord Vishnu...not Lord Krishna... who for argument's sake was another avatar of Lord Vishnu's.!!

Excuse me Ms.Nita Chandrashekhar...Sri Giruvayoorappan is not one of the 10 avatars of Vishnu...The idol there is supposed to be the idol of Lord Krishna which was worshipped by Rukmini in Dwaraka..When Dwaraka was swallowed by the sea, this idol came ashore...Guru Vasishta and the Lord Vayu took this idol and placed it in the current place...thus the name "Guru""Vayu""oor"...means the land of guru and vayu...so please get your facts right....

Excuse me, this Guruvayoor Lord Krishna's idol is not the one worshipped by Rukmini.(It is in Udupi installed by Madwacharya).Guruvayoor idol was worshipped by Devaki & Vasudev since their 3 past janmas when Lord Vamana & Lord Prashna Garbha was born as their son,as a boon from Lord Vishnu. It was given to them from Lord Brahma himself. When Janamajeya was suffering with Leprosy, he came to Guryvayoor to worship it. It was cured. The idol was rcvd by Lord Shiva & Parvathi for the installation at South end of India, after the end of Dwaparayoga.

Hello Sir. Guru means Brihaspathi (Guru of Devas) Vayu is wind (Lord Vayu Bhagwan) When Dwaraka was submerging, Lord instructed Guru and Vayu bagwan to have the idol from Dwaraka shifted to a safer place so that people form Kali Yuga can have a darshan of it and mitigate their sufferings. VenuGopal is damn right.
