If the issue is so boring, why are you here.

It DOES NOT in any way bore me and I will follow it as along as it takes.

My faith is VERY, VERY important to me.

Too bad that so many have a great secular education but nothing spiritually.

It looks like you don't know browsing thats the reason you are stuck in rediff and reading all this. Surely one gets bored when they can't do any thing.

Just move out of the system and you will find some fresh air. Terrace is a good place at this point of time and if you are a girl then you will attract attention also if not get attracted seeing girls on other buildings.

Suprized...........
by Navaneeth Ramani on Jun 12, 2007 06:20 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Don't know Y rediff & Mr. Prem Panicker is giving more importance to this incident.... What ever happend as happend, its understood that there is a rule in place and since the rule was violated hence the purification was done.... Nothing much to debate.. As the chief priest says, any other religion people who want to enter, they have to go to arya samaj and register them as hindu... very simple... When you trust hindu god, y can't they register as hindu ????????... A temple is not musuem or gallery.......... When people claim that other religion people who has belief has the right to enter, Y dont they register as hindu and enter.... When there are lot of unethical & ill legal convertions going around our country, what the thanthri demands is ethical and legal.....

Who created these rules and when? you should think of the time & who created it. No human has the right to stop a person when he enters in a temple, church or Mosque with respect to worship GOD. All these bull shit rules are continuation of the caste & religious hatred. What should a person with the beleif of "ONE GOD" should do?

Unnecessary Hooplah

entry into temples has to be only for believers. there is no question of even a dialogue in this regard. but specifically, the vayalar ravi controversy cud hv been better handled - the dad was a hindu & the paternal lineage cud hv been taken into consideration from the namboothiri perspective.

dude,
i knw that. the maternal lineage is followed by the others like nairs, ezhavas, etc. the namboothiris (brahmins) follow the paternal lineage. besides, it is not the religion that we are talking about. anyways, thanks for replying to my post.

Guruvayoor
by bharat on Jun 12, 2007 05:10 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Vayalar ravi's issue is not a cast based issue. many people trying to project it as cast based even ravi himself. Its purly religion based. never heard any protest or discrimination those who belongs to hindu visited regardless of casts after all hindus allowed. But those who's religion is in doubt are created issues. Ravi is a public figure as well a central minister. instead creating issue in public belongs to his family members he should find the way out to solve this after the first incident itself.
Govt and the temple authorities sit together and should find an amicable solution. No devotee should be discriminated. But in large, solutions should be to safe guard the Temple's sanctity and safety and Hindu community. Other religions stands are well known against Hindu way of practice. So if any individual himself as a baktha of Guruvayoorappan and wish to visit Guruvayoor to be allowed with certian conditions, it must be based on, respect the temple rules and hindu practices.
Resently we witnessed similar controversy belongs to Sabarimala too.
Is there any Hidden agenda to tarnish Hinduism.
CPM must think to remove outspoken Devaswam Minister G. Sudhakaran, He publicaly outbursted never respect hindu Gods or hindu practice(in todays news). Since take charge as minister he is showing restlessness in his speaches. Get him good treatment atleast.

Unnecessary controversy
by on Jun 12, 2007 04:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I personally think this controversy is unwarranted.

This is private matter of a religion and people who do not believe in hinduism does not have to be involved in this and ideally should not comment on it. The current set of ministers , claimed to be atheists, should keep away from temple matters and let believers decide the matter.

There is a clear procedure to let all believers worship in the temple already. He/ she needs to declare he to be a hindu in Arya samaj. Yesudas or any one else for that matter can enter the temple by doing this. If they are not willing to do that they cant expect to enter the temple-just as you cant be a minister without accepting indian constitution.

I have been a communist supporter for life long but this controversy shows eveil designs and am not sure if we are on the right track

I truely agree with you Mr. whoever you are.

The discussion on this board should be left for Hindus alone as this is there internal matter. So far the discussion is going smooth and good with all positive minds (except a few). Hope this this resolves and brings out good results.

So just post messages which are helpful and healthy for discussions.

by sajit nair on Jun 12, 2007 04:34 PM  Permalink

This is absurd. The rituals are done from the past long years. Why sudden changes?
No we wont tolerate any non- hindu entering our sacred / holy place. Politicians dont have any work/issue thats why they are doing all this publicity stunts. Please let the god be left alone.
Why giving trouble to god. OK what we can do is let non hindu people visit from outside..
