Yesudoss??
by Biju Nair on Jun 13, 2007 03:28 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Get the spelling right,it is Yesudas. Dewaswom board is govt appointed. They have to accept a Govt issued certificate, no more, no less. Thantri cannot decide who is Hindu, he can only do a cleanup if there is a proof of nonHindu entering the sanctum. In this case priest made an error and must be sacked.

So this is the background

All reders this is where this tems from

"The couple, with Ravi, Purushottaman and others in tow, then entered the temple to offer prayer; Mercy, a Christian by birth and belief, stayed outside; as a non-Hindu, she was not permitted entry into the temple premises.

An unknown devotee spotted a cross dangling on the gold chain Mercy had draped around her son's neck, and complained to one of the priests that a Christian had entered the temple."

Wnoder why Merci wnated her son entering the temple wearing a cross?

And now this cooked up controversy

@Jeffrey..........

"Wnoder why Merci wnated her son entering the temple wearing a cross? "

I think the article also explains it was a spontaneous act of happiness by a mother toward her son. "spontaneous".....i am sure you know its meaning.
