I am not sure if you would read this comment but as pro indian I should say something which I feel. Dear Bhaskar, there is no fume without fire. The reason pakis think so because Indians were divided to the core and they still are. If we are a developed country, thanks goes to unity that was forced by Sardar Patel. The muslims ruled over India because we never united and never fought against handful of invaders. There is an inborn feeling of universal brotherhood among islam followers which is hardly prevalent among Hindus. They day 40 crore out of 80 crore hindus will unite, no country will be stronger than us.
Gandhiji tried all his life, but could not manage Muslims and was stabbed from the back. BECAUSE HE NEVER UNDERSTOOD MUSLIM MINDSET, AND KEPT ON APPEASING WHICH WAS THOUGHT AS HINDU SERVITUDE!
I feel there could be nobody more accomodative than gandhi.
NO Point in talking with pakis and Pakistan. Just shut down the border, escalate Arms race so Pakis spend their 10% in Defense.

Just curious- In india i have seen only one pakistani...although in the us i have seen many in new york usually taxi drivers. I believe that they r also good people but for there mind boggling fanaticism
