phew!..hard core pujari...they are practicing their customs(religion is too generic) specific to that temple...if you want to be part of it, be a part or just ignore it..why are you taking offense..

why don't you go to another temple of same GOD which doesn't have these beliefs...

Be Indian

Indians means people with heart. An Australian criminal, escaped from jail, came and stayed in India for a number of years at Mubai's Daravi slum. He had bitter experiences in Mumbai, but the heart warming pleasant experiences were many, many times more. Later he was caught and deported to Australia (from Germany) and completed his 20 years prison term. During this jail term, he wrote a novel "Santharam." This novel is mainly centered around Mumbai life. "Indians have heart, which we don't find in the developed countries like Australia or US," is a Santharam statement in the book.
Even in a slum that is most deplorable to live, he find "hearts." Brother Bhaskar and many of us who enjoy the fruits of the tree planted by some one else in this great country, keep on hitting mother India on her heart with the most abusive language that one can use. Let us use our thoughts and words to make India march forward to the top of the world - to her glories. When we think, say or do some thing, let our thought first be "what India gets out of what I think, say or do."

Dude..how a person behaves depends on what life bestowed him..if this author never committed crime he would have praised his country is superior...Indians have strange liking to whites(coz. of their skin may be) and in process give them more of everything(that's what happened with East India Company)...Indians are subjective and highly affected by physical appearance and sub-ordination. Tney lose rationality once these two come into picture. Our Hearts are weak and narrowminded. There is a lot to learn from west. If we have a blend of west and east in us, we will have the perfect mix. That's the best thing for indian future with a hope that globalisation helps indian culture to move towards rational thinking.

I am an Indian and I am affected by the same subjective syndrome. I am trying to change.

Yes. When it comes tothe Queen of England she
can enter the temple with her shoes on.
When the same for an Indian, within indian temple, his mother Christian, etc ec.
First let us accept that before Divine, whomsoever God he may , let our brethren first practise equality. if Caste system is extinct, reservation should have gone long back.
Firs equlity among within one religion, only then we can talk of uniting other religions.
What Kerala CM said is absolutely correct. So many Stalwarts of Hinduism have re-iterated this equality, but with esser takers.

at a level i agree with u like in case of dalits etc but of hindu origin
it comes down to respect and culture
but hey temples arnt govt or public property
worse govts n politicians abuse temple funds
take example of siddhivinayak mumbai or shirdi or most south indian temples
ive even heard that temple funds are used to maintain mosques and mullahs as a sort of cross subsidy

how then can govt see what is fit or not
it is the job of the shankaracharyas and pandits and tantris to manage temples
