If hindus of any caste or alnguage or sect r not allowed in temple, it is discrimination.
If non-hindus r not allowed in hindu temple, it is not discrimination but "reasonable classification". For puerposes of allowing entry into hindu temple, classifying people as "hindus" and "non-hindus" is "reasonable classification".
At this rate, tomorrow this VS Achtanandan will say that not allowing men in ladies toilet is discrimination. Communism is a variety of fanaticism which dims people's intellect.
In Matthew(10:34 - 36, this is what Jesus says: "....Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household."
So how do we know that Christians r coming to the temple to pray or to do what jesus said ? Perhaps the authorities r right in not allowing christians in temple. I should rethink my earlier uncompromising stand that non-hindus should be allowed in temple.Dheeraj and others perhaps had a valid point?????
Rediff is demonising Brahmins like Nazis demonised Jews. This repeated putting up of Guruvayoor news week after week questions rediff's motives. Enough is enough. I demand that news be taken off.
Did u read today's Times of India. Two muslim girls studying in college have been assaulted by muslim men for pursuing education. According to them, girls getting educated is violative of Shariat. The Bombay High Court has directed Police to take action.
Rediff never puts up such news up for debate. Which is more important? Receiving education or entering into place of worship of other religion?????
Rediff's motives in playing up Guruvayoor issue again and again is questionable. Probably, Congress, Communists and Rediff.com r planning eithnic cleansing of Brahmins. They r demonising Brahmins like Nazis demonised the Jews. Rediff, I want all this Guruvayoor stuff taken off.
It means unequal treatement to equals. If all hindus r not allowed to enter into a temple(ie if some hindus r barred from entering on grounds of caste) it is discrimination.
Non-hindus are not same as hindus in beliefs. So not allowing non-hindus in Hindu temple is NOT "discrimination".
Ok, this might be a form of discrimination, but what about many other forms of discrimination against us ?? Why the hypocrisy and doublestandards ?? Typical of pseudo-seculars.
There are places where non-muslims cannot go, right here in India, forget about the mideast. What do the pseudo-seculars have to say about 3000 temples destroyed in India ??

Well said tomcat. Pseudo-seculars r more of a problem than muslims and christians.
Kerla chief-minister should keep his mouth shut as it is the internal matter of hindus.Achutanadam is trying to give a caste colour to it.Guryavayor prohibits only the entry of non-hindus and not dalits. While i dont agree with the priests it upto relegious heads to debate and take apprpriate decision.
