This formation, whether manmade or natural, should be preserved for it's historical and archeological importance, if not for it's mythological existence.

By suggesting that Lord Ram & Co chose to fill an entire stretch of sea with mud and stone to cross it instead of choosing to simply cross it using boats, reactionary forces are trying to downgrade the intelligence and technical expertise of Our Lord. So guys be careful of the intentions of these firangi US NGOs.

If that Monkey (Homonuman) can carry a Mountain, he could have brought Seetha to his Lord Rama or could carry all that monkeys in that same hill with Rama to Lanka.

You moron, read Ramayana first. Hanuman does tell Sita that he can take her back right away. She refuses to go with him saying Ravana needs to be destroyed because she is not the only one to be rescued ... there are many more. To save people in such huge numbers requires the empire to be brought down.

Why was the route of Metro passing 'close' Qutub Minar in New Delhi was abandoned and later reworked fearing prospective damages to this 815 years man made monument?
Why the project of Taj corridor (which would have made lot of dollars to our money minded govt) was put off after the hue and cry of environmentalists as the construction near Taj 'may' cause bad effect on this 359 years old man made monument. Please give attention here that these monuments were not going to be destroyed but were 'feared' to get damaged.
Will any government in China would destroy or even alter The great wall of China(2695 years old) for the sake of any amount of money?
Will any one allow pulling down 4507 years old Pyramids of Egypt in lieu of any uncountable amount of money?
If the answer is NO, then why this 17,25,000 years old man made monument is being destroyed for the sake of some

Leave it whether it is man made or not.... Let speak that it is created naturally.... If you believe natural formation has some reasons then first explore the reason why should nature form these kind of sand patches... Tsunami effect were less on indian shore even because of these kind of sand patches formed in Bay of Bengal (I am not sticking only with Ram Sethu for Tsunami)....
Sure Sethu Project is going to be worthsome (Long term benefit) when water transport is going to increase because of import and export..
But give a serious thought on these sand fills out of box thinking question why nature has created why nature has created...
If scientifically proved it is man made then protect it as a old age monuement...

From where do you bring the evidence for all historical facts. You need to belive and one should respect it.

They needed to carry an army and weapons. Why does the army have engineers to build bridges ? Maybe they needed to carry heavy chariots etc ... who knows. The point is: If it is archaelogically important, it should be saved. Making it a tourist destination with glass bottom boats is an excellent idea. Most of the people here are opposing just because it's called the rama bridge.

In his incarnation as Rama, the supreme lord intended to set ideals for man. This avatar was devoid of any divine powers unlike the Krishna Avatar. In fact Rama was helped by various deities at various instances. In Sundara Kanda, Hanuman offers to carry Sita along with entire Trikuta to Rama. Sita explains to Hanuman that it wudn't bring any glory to her Lord, who must defeat Ravana in a battle and set ideals for the mankind.
