pow's of 1971
by deep rain on Jun 11, 2007 10:18 PM  Permalink

this is very unfortunate that no govt after 1971 has tried to make any effort to find out those POW's who got into pakistan jails and were never returned nor intimated about their whereabouts to govt or their relatives. From our end it is shame of all the govts and the concerned minsterires and the PM who never bothered to do somthing to get these people back from pak jails. Instead they were busy enjoying their status and looting the public money. Now these helpless people can acheive nothing except desperation to find the empty jails since pakistan has very shady past in treating POWs especially from India.
FULL MISTAKE OF GOVT OF INDIA SHAME LESS PEOPLE

Nonsense!
by chaitanya s on Jun 11, 2007 10:11 PM  Permalink

"Answering questions relating to the pleas made by the 14-member delegation of relatives, which is currently visiting various jails, Aslam said Pakistan has accorded an "unprecedented gesture" without receiving the "same level" of gesture from the other side."

Nonsense! India had released ALL of the whopping 93,000 Pakistani POWs after the Shimla Accord of 1972. Yet, Aslam claims that Pakistan's supposedly "unprecedented gesture" wasnt "reciprocated"! Who made her an foreign office spokeswoman? She isnt aware of her own country's history.

Let Pak be Busy on LOC
by asokan a on Jun 11, 2007 08:58 PM  Permalink

Who asked Pak to unilaterally withdraw its troops? Let them keep all their troops on LOC. When their borders in Afghan is burning the troops in Kashmir are having fun. President Pervez Musharraf is in a very tight position sitting on a chair with two legs.

PAK LOC
by SLVP on Jun 11, 2007 08:37 PM  Permalink

We are too much Pak-Centric. India has pampered and spoilt pak govts and kashmiries, both, to show the world that it is SECULAR. Each time govt of india's response is emotional and soft rather than hard and rational.
