orkut should be banned, there so many persons whenever they get time just started orkuting.... this nothing at all just wateing time .... this is lose of nation...

And about loss to the nation>. What are you gaining for the nation by passing stupid comments like that..??
we should not ban orkut but we should be banned the community which are create problem..... we can connect a our old friend with the help of orkut and share our life...... we dont need a community .....
If Orkut had to be banned for abusing the great chatrapathi Shivaji, then Rediff shd be banned for praising another maratha sivaji aka Rajinikant aka superstar way too much. Hahaha

Eventhough I'm a fan of Rajini, i think the coverage given for Sivaji in Rediff.com is OTT to say the least. It creates unneccessary tension between Tamils like me and northies.

if u think its a waste of time then jst do one thing.. dont do orkutting!! coz 4 it may b a waste of time,but 4 others its a place where one can find their old n lost friends.(dont take it other way)
In a democracy everybody has a right to say something....orkut is just a trend of things that are happening to the present generation of Indians.....if Govt. bans it....it is going for a serious mistake......a mistake that may have ramifications in the political scenario...Dont understand why but it is always a Congress Govt. at the center when bans are put in place....looks like the ghost of the British Raj hasn't left their myopic vision.
We all know that the current congress govt does only onething if it doesn't have control over other.. i.e ban.
That is what they want to do with Orkut too here. Orkut is a real good environment which has helped us in getting to know about others. even the communities created has helped many in their life.. some regulation is needed.. but not ban.. instead the govt should ban ShivSena which always peeps into younger generation activities...
Just because some idiot wrote offensive content, the entire system can't be blamed. The blame is clearly misplaced. The person needs to be addressed. Same situation occurs when a statue gets defiled, the individual or party responsible is never apprehended. But buses are burnt and a bandh is called. Yes one cannot write derogatory things like this without having the guts to face reprecussions. But at the same time, the system cannot be blamed. If this ban is imposed, then the government should start banning every platform including Television, radio and hoardings. These could also be misused mindlessly to offend a certain group of people!!
