its disasterous to c that now the politicians r having problems with orkut....okie i agree that to undermine r heros 4m the past is not ethical....but banning orkut is no solution....rather orkut sud me warned to take steps so tht this kinda thing dont happens again
I feel instead of banning a public community like orkut it is advisable to customise the site accordingly and restrict the website wherever necessary.VIZ if it is the insult of a person like the Chhatrapati it is of course not good.But it is also a community wherein we can meet good old friends..Instead of banning it I feel the central Govt. shd approach google and ask them to evasive measures.
orkut should not be banned. Instead government can take necessary action to filter out the anti social elements. It is such a wonderful site where you find full transperency in growing the network.
Banning orkut in india does not solve the problem as most such objective communities are posted from outside india. Atleast if we see such content we can report as bogus and it gets removed... if ti is banned then it will be seen outside india and we would not even know... and india's image will be harmed...
Every person has the fundamental right of freedom of speech....A right to express what he or she likes or dislikes...Orkut is a great means of connecting with long lost friends.Why ban it?? Instead why not utilise the solution provided by orkut for such sites i.e. report abuse...and if one cannot wait till it takes effect please dont visit such communities, simple!!
why should orkut be banned. Its very useful to get in touch with our friends and some healthy discussion.Ban all the irresponsible politicians from contesting in elections.

Kids waste their time on computers too.So lets ban it...and why not ban cellphones,discos,televisions,video game consoles,malls also?After all,kids waster their time on these things too!

We gotta ban Mudera Bopiah, i guess. If Bopia's kids do nothing positive, DO NT GENERALISE..!! I wonder, what Mr.Bopiah's opinion about TV would be..!! Is Mr.Bopiah's kids benefitting from it..??
Orkut should not be banned but Goggle should be made more resposible for the contents at orkut because there are many contents which are not tolerable specially those about our country INDIA
