Who are they ??
by James P on Jun 08, 2007 02:05 PM  Permalink

Who the hell is these people to take actions against Orkut?? Are they the self-assumed cultural police of India? There might be hundereds of websites hosted in various servers outside india which contain good / bad remarks about Sivaji or any other icons. Are we going to be so stupid by banning these sites? Please remember that by banning you close your vision to those sites...still the outer world use it for the same purpose....come on..be sensible man!!!!

There might be somany things which look stupid in your view. For example your way of dressing, job etc might be so stupid for me. Do you think i am foolish enough to come to you and raise my protest against it?? No, i will just not look at you and continue with my business. just do that, my dear friend!!

ban on orkut-NO
by gghj jj on Jun 08, 2007 02:04 PM  Permalink

No, I think it should not be banned as if these people want to ban it, they can come with new thoughts everyday...we won't implement all that they think...so we r free to use whatever sited we want to and it shld not be banned. instead it shld be regulated properly and directions to that effect should be given on FRIDAY.

Of course not!
by Moumita Boral on Jun 08, 2007 02:04 PM  Permalink

What do the Shiv Saininks think that by Banning something they'll be able to prevent it. History has its eveidence that whenever u try to suppress things it eveolves more with vengeance. Agreed that derogatory remarks against any community or religin or some national leader should not be allowed and orkut should pay special attention in curbing all this menace. But it definitely should not be banned, its an important medium of meeting n getting in touch with ur friends around the globe. And those who spread hatred or some vulger expression from this site should be banned, not the site itself!

Why not ban the world wide web itself??
by pooja1 on Jun 08, 2007 02:03 PM  Permalink

every second website has some objectionable content or derogatory remark about celebrities, leaders, freedom fighters, etc,etc..so why not ban the www itself?

I think the shivsainiks are left with no better things to do on this earth. But we, people, do have. And I have no objection to any content posted on orkut. We do have the right to expression.

instead, the shivsainiks should indulge into things that are in interest of this country before people ban the sena itself...its high time now.

by deepak bhatia on Jun 08, 2007 02:02 PM  Permalink

Dont worry guys, this issue will get over by time (i must say within a month). Actually these groups have nothing to do...so they are creating issue this time for ORKUT. Tell them to make an issue on some thing which will useful to the nation. Ignore this bullshiting by Shiv sainiks and enjoy scrapping........happy orkuting guys.

When we fall short of controlling/implementing things.. we just ban them.no using the grey cell... no seating out... its the easiest way out... BAN.
Why isn't Shiv Sena banned for it violent bullying tendencies?Who gave them the right to damage public/private property and assualt indivisuals? Is this how a mordern/forward country runs? Instead of arresting these goons and deliberating on how to stop abuse of Orkut... our Govt. has again lived up to its expectation... by thinking over to implement a BAN
