Khalli demag shatann ka ghar is the best suited kahawat for these fellows who are thinking like this...If they succeeded in banning this site..that means we are not far from the demolution of Democracy in india....
Orkut is great means to network & meet old lost friends. Their is no asssurity tht banning will help "children utilize thr time elsewhr".And frankly speaking people will form thr own sites to say wat ever they wanto & no political party can stop them(how much can they?) But ofcourse thr r a lot of profiles tht r v distractive & questionable on a community site. I guess Orkut must not allow such profiles to be displayed.

That is an excellent suggestion. The question is not whether to ban Orkut or not. It should be, whether to BAN SHIV SENA or not.
Who are these guys to dictate how we should lead our lives and tell us what we can say or cannot? India is a democracy and everyone is withing their right to express their opinion. What does it matter to Shiv Sena?
What else are they going to ban? Speaking about Orkut? We talk about Human Rights violation in China. My feeling is, we are not that far behind.
who the hell gave tyhese ppl somuch authority to ban whatever they want. Please ban public toilets first, coz all sorts of abuse is always written on the walls. Indian Govt..get a life.

good one piyush. shiv sena is scum. I really wonder y we put up with people like them and VHP-Bajrang Dal goons??? while people like us write in blogs, newspapers, and discussion rooms, these guys go out on the streets and smash businesses and kill people. That's y they are so effective and we can't do a thing! jiski lathi, uski bhains!
there are number of peoples who have convited a numerous crimes in our societies , like our leaders, first ban their activities and then ban other..
morever talking in true spirit ban is not a solution of every problem. so what it means there can be taken some round of actions to filter out these kind of demoralising activities.
Well, I got in touch with a lot of forgotten classmates just through the site. . If the whole site deserves banning based on the activity of a few hate-mongers, why not ban the whole shiv sena because of the activity of a few attackers???
orkut shouldn't be banned. Infact the real culprits should be punished. Why should the innocent ones like us suffer!!
Orkut has become a very popular site, & most visited ones. There are far better communities and we regularly post our forums & views. Have made new aqaintances & also the batch mates have reunited. CAN'T IMAGINE LIVING WITHOUT ORKUT. orkut has become a sweet addiction now. can't resist without it.
